    ROFLMAO.
TE and many of the other starters for SAC will probably not get many minutes in.
Kobe scored 38 and 37 points against SAC this year. You don't think he could score 38 without the rest of LA's starters and with Kobe determined to score? That is funny.
Yeah I could see Darius Morris hoisting up 30 shots and him not passing the ball to Kobe...

[QUOTE]Mark, thanks for the Kobe comment.  However, I seriously doubt that Kobe was being honest that it was " not very important ".  Sitting out this game tonight is KILLING Kobe.  It was his goal, his obsession, to win the scoring title in this, his 16th season.  Yes, he wanted it really bad. He decided that he'd look more like a moron had he played when all the other starters sat in a meaningless game just to achieve an individual award.  Had he decided to play, it would have created a huge controversy and it would have tainted his image as just a selfish individual only interested in winning the scoring title. Also playing against Sacramento, Kobe could smell 38 points and the title.  You'd be a fool to believe that was not very important to him.  The scoring title and another ring are what's most important this season for Kobe.  Believe it.

If Kobe wanted to play and go for 38 tonight, he would.

KD must not be a team player. He must be selfish like Jordan, Shaq and all of the other players that won scoring titles.

Celtics play team ball and they have never had a scoring champion...

[QUOTE]So much for this thread and all of Rame's points now that Kobe decided to sit out. I guess what Kobe said is true: Bryant already has said that capturing the third scoring title of his career in this, his 16th season, was "not very important." But Bryant also seemed to indicate that he did not plan on sitting out any more games after returning to the lineup last week after a seven-game, 14-day long absence because of a left shin injury. http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/7858868/los-angeles-lakers-kobe-bryant-sits-allows-oklahoma-city-thunder-kevin-durant-win-scoring-title

    yup

I guess 'all my points' involving:

    A. playing to win titles
    B. CAREER scoring leader desire
    C. Obnoxious showman w/ a clipboard on the bench
    D. Obnoxious media wh0re w/ daughters at press conferences
    E. Phil calling him out in books
    F. Many teammates known to dislike him
    G. Selfish stats when you compare FGA's to FG/3FG %'s

are pointless as soon as Kobe felt the pressure to reverse course and concede this regular season scoring title to Durant

yeah that erases 15 years of the selfish/obnoxious/scummy behavior I was talking about

Once again Gina/Mark has his/her head up the rear

Yada Yada Yada.... What does it matter guys? We all know who Kobe is: a great individual player with tremendous desire. We also know that he isn't I'm the class of Russ, Magic, Brid, or MJ because he only has 1 MVP and was the leader of 2 championship teams. This puts him in the class of Hakeem. Nothing to sneeze at I should say.

Not sure what I need to eat crow about.
Want to see it in action tonight watch Kome go after the scoring championship at Sacremento. No telling how many shot he might put up tonight. This is what he plays for, not championships.
I may be wrong some but I doubt i will ever be wrong 99% of the time. You may be closer to that number than I am.

I am a Celtic fan and dislike the Lakers and Kome especially.  If you don't like it don't read it and go to a Laker site.  That about all I got for you day.  If the ball hog had played  you would have been hillarious the type of shots he put up.

BTW they said he has only scored 38 pts in 2 of the last 44 games.  Not sure it was a given, especially if Sac decided to double him all nite.  Would have been fun watching his shots. He shoots the most horrible shots of anyone in the league now, imagine what they would have looked like tonight.

I think Rame explained it very well about the clip board and scoring.  Petey also did a outstanding job explaining it.  If you don't agree , again, go away.

    +1

Baby deserved to be chewed out, KG is a FAR superior teammates to Kobe, not even a contest or discussion. Man Mark/Gina's ignorance on the sport has been exposed these past 24 hours, more than I even thought a few days ago.

Remember when Kobe humiliated his entire team but passing over and over in the 2nd half of a playoff loss to the Suns?? He was Shaq's obnoxious power unger egomnical wingman, then a quitter, loser and selfish gunner who showed up his team and management between Shaq's departure and the shady trade for Gasol.

Multiple times he demanded a trade out of town or said his team stunk and needed a superstar to help him (after he ran Shaq out) he did BOTH those 2 things several times in 05-07.
