Too tough to answer. I would need at least a top 4. To narrow it down to 1.... I can't do it. The toss up is between Bird, KG, PP, Russell. The reason... I think if any of those guys got punched straight in the face, busting their nose and lip without getting a call from an official, they'ld think they finally have a game worth playing. Especially KG. Got slammed hard to the floor, rolls over and does pushups. Love it.

I loved Duerod. As I recall Bird said he was the best shooter he ever played with.

Hank ("High Henry") Finkel.....voted the greatest player in the history of Dayton Universary.....his nickname of High Henry was given to him by Johnny Most.....he was once described as a guy who always looked like he was running uphill....he was the unfortunate guy who replaced Bill Russell.....I met him once in the Garden and we talked for a few minutes....he was the nicest and most humble athlete I've ever met....a true gentleman.....!

One guy who is an all time favorite of mine is Jo Jo White.....I loved him as a Celtic and we later became friends in the late '80's when his wife Debbie worked for me.....he was so soft spoken and such a gentleman....my wife and I attended a weekend gala (charity fundraiser) in Rochester, NY....he introduced me to a bunch of all time NBA greats including Cedric Maxwell, Sam Jones, and Tommy Heinsohn of the Celtics, along with Artis Gilmore and Dan Roundfield and a few others...a high point of mine was hosting a holiday "office party" at my house and having him and Debbie join our crew.....just a class act all the way around....both of them...!

Jo Jo once told me that Russ actually told him, very early in his career that, had Russell known that a talent like him was coming on board, he might've thought twice about retiring....he also got me a bunch of Celtic autographs including Bird, McHale, and a bunch of those other Celtics of the '80's...such a nice guy....he only lived in Rochester (actually Pittsford) for a few years before returning to the Boston area...

Havlicek once told me this exact same thing regarding one Larry Bird.  Had he known.  Loved Jo Jo BTW...  class act and great athlete.  We owe 1976 to Jo Jo.

I loved seeing/hearing Big Red as announcer instead of BJ. Reminded me of how much I admired Dave as a player when he played Jabbar and the C's won in Milwaukee.
