Another far fetched trade idea.. because i'm bored :)

    To Boston:                                           To Charlotte:

    F Michael Kidd-Gilchrist                        G Rajon Rondo

G Ben Gordon                                      F Jeff Green

G Ramon Sessions                               F Brandon Bass

F Bismack Biyombo                               G Courtney Lee

2014 1st round pick (from Detroit)       2015 2nd round pick (from Kings)

2014 1st round pick (from Portland)    2017 2nd round pick (from Kings)

    2016 1st round pick

1st round swap options in 2015 and 17

Boston would have two very young potential studs in Kidd-Gilgrist and Olynyk, several young and talented role players, loads of cap space starting in 2014, and 12 1st round picks in the next 5 drafts plus swap options in 2015 and 2017(2). DA's option's would be limitless. Boston would have the cap space and fire power to go after any superstar player that might become available via trade, while still having plenty of picks left over.

Charlotte finally has a playoff team and fans have a reason to buy tickets.

so our roster would look like this?

    C- Fav

    C- Fab

    C- Iverson?

    C/F- Biyombo

    C/F- KO

    PF- Humphries

    SF- MKG

    SF- Wallace

    SF- Bogans

    SG- Gordon

    SG- Brooks

    SG- Crawford

    SG/PG- Bradley

    PG- Sessions

    PG- Pressey

    did I get everyone?

if so, thats an"interesting" team anyway.

would probably make that prediction of the Celtics being the second worst team in the NBA next year.

When people make far-fetched trade offers between BOS and CHA where Rondo goes to CHA, why do they never have Kemba coming back to the Cs in the deal? Why the heck would we want Ramon Sessions over Kemba? Kemba is younger, better, and more cost-controlled since he is on his rookie deal.

Why would they give him up you might ask (since I just listed all of those positive attributes) ?

Because he is their starting PG and is too small to play SG! If they are trading for Rondo, they don't need Kemba as he won't get enough minutes. Rather than returning a small forward who can't shoot (MKG), bring back a young replacement for Rondos position.

for me it was just how my scenario worked out. with the addition of green, MGK becomes expendable. Kemba is more of an undersized combo guard and could easily play SG with Rondo at PG like Philly did with Iverson and Snow. If Rondo and Bradley can co-exist, then so can Rondo and Kemba.

plus i prefer to build a foundation around elite complimentary players like MGK, rather than an undersized go-to scorer like Kemba. then plug in a #1 go-to scorer via the draft or free agency later on.

Interesting idea ... how can you not love getting 3 first round picks. We be rollin in the young guns!

We'd essentially be gifting Charlotte a starting 4 lineup. I guess with Walker, Henderson, Big Al, and Zeller they'd be a playoff team? I'd send them Crawford and Shav too.

One issue is that I don't expect MKG & Biyombo to ever be ranked higher than Rondo & Green.

Do you see how insane the 2014 draft would be? We would have four first round picks. We would have the change to possibly land Smart AND Wiggins ... OK, I'm in!

YOU MISSED SULLY! I swear to god, everyone is going to be sorry for overlooking this kid. Sully is a pure gamer, higher IQ than KO, better lifetime domination than KO, as good of a shooting stroke as KO, and a much better rebounder than KO. He just is like 6'10.

    Again, Sully>Olynyk, I guarentee it!

Golden State, which gave the Spurs a huge challenge in the playoffs, had a starting 5 with an average age of 23. Yup, maybe we can put together with all our draft choices a starting 5 with an average age of a little more than a college's grad's of 22-23 ?

Totally agree. I for one trust Danny to draft the right guys.

If the above scenerio came to be: (age) (draft#)

    Bradley (22) (19th)

    Brooks (24) (25th)

    MKG (19) (2nd)

    Biyombo (20) (7th)

    Sullinger (21) (21st)

    Olynyk (22) (13th)

    Melo (23) (22nd)

    2014 Pick - BOS (Top 5)

    2014 Pick - POR (Teens)

    2014 Pick - BKN (20's)

    2014 Pick - DET (Teens)

    2015 Pick - BOS

    2015 Pick - LAC

    2016 Pick - BOS

    2016 Pick - BKN

    2016 Pick - CHA

    ooooh the possibilities!

I knew I was missing someone, thats why I ended up putting Iverson in there.

or maybe it was because I couldn;t see Sully after he lost all those inches from the back surgery.....Cool

i don't expect MKG and Biyombo to become Rondo and Green either, neither are scoring threats, but they are both very talented and athletic defensivie players. it's the 3 #1 picks and swap options that make the deal for Boston.
