    any chance blatche opts out?

NJ is a hot mess. he looks like he's not the guy many of us were so afraid of signing a couple years ago. could be a solid option at C if we land love and can't get asik. actually he might be a better option than asik.

blatche is an airhead who rebounds like a 6 foot 7 guy.  but he's 6-11.  not really suited for play at the center position as he doesn't rebound as well as most power fwds in the league

he could be an 18/8 guy. like you said, not a dominant rebounder, but better than and C currently on our roster. if we can't get a guy like asik...maybe blatche opts out and we can get him. he and sully side by side would be able to get a lot of boards. not a big shot blocker though, so he's not the ideal rim protector. still, better than anything currently on the roster.

i'd only take blatche cheap.  like 2 or 3M at the MOST.  he really still has to prove himself.  with lopez gone in NJ this year, KG playing EL STINKO and kirilenko in the trainer's room most of the time, blatche still only saw the floor 22 mins a game for 11.2 pts and 5.3 rebs.   that to me is utterly amazing  why didn't he book 30 a night and score / rebound big?  it was like a blank slate for him!

he screwwed the golden goose by tuning out during the last year of his big money contract, showing up fat and lazy

in his two reclamation years in NJ his PER stats slid from 2012-13 to 2013-14 on rebs, steals, blocks and his FG% fell.  not exactly impressive, especially given how much time he COULD have played this year if NJ coaching thought he was worth playing.  they were desperate for big man help

He'll opt out. He's a solid all around player who's fair to ok at everything but doesn't do one thing in particular well. Think a lengthier version of Jeff Green (a better shot blocker and rebounder and a worse shooter).

He would definitely improve the Cs (for more money than he's worth) to the point that the team will be picking outside of the top 5 for certain.

    Pass.
