ANY DOUBT NOW THAT DOC IS HANDS-DOWN THE BEST COACH IN THE NBA?

yep some could make a credible argument for pop over in san antonio but overall for my $, i take doc 6 days a week and twice on sunday. no way pop wins yesterday. he calls off the dawgs and puts pp and kg on the bench. what was amazing was hearing shaq at HALFTIME say that the celts would win by 2 for doc will never panic like a van gundy or throw in the towel. he will fight, stay up and come up with credible strategic adjustments. that says a lot when ex-players believe that as much as the present guys. all things being =, you give the belichick of basketball the same talent or close to it as everyone else and he'll get you a ring most of the time. he demands a lot yet he is viewed as a players coach for they really love and respect him.

Doc plays his youngsters only when he absolutely has to... and he plays his vets right into the ground unless circumstances simply do not allow.

    So yes.. I have doubts.

That scene after the game last night says a lot.  Coaches and players realizing that they have some things that can't be taken away.

     1. they are all in it together (a lot of teams preach this, but with the Celtics it's the only way)

     2. Heart (they would rip out their own and give it to their teammate if it would help)

     3. Real happiness in the success of other teammates. (those guys in Miami don't have this quality because their trying to write self fulfilling legacies at the same time they win down there)

This is all a reflection of Doc.  Even though the vets are instrumental in the development of this culture, it's Doc who never wavers and who is there to clarify and reiterate this culture to the super-star players when they forget it.

Best or not, he's the best coach for the Celtics and he's in an elite group of coaches that will cause us to refer to the "Doc Rivers era" of Celtics history when we refer to this era as much as we call it anything else some day.

Don't know if he's the best, but he's the guy I want on my sideline.

Depends on which half you are talking about, but it would be nice to have a point that could shoot a good percentage from the three.  Celtics did a great job, Paul is the heart and soul of this team, KG did not get enough credit for his play last night which was great, Bass looked a ton better than Big Baby, the rookie came through, the Magic looked like the team without a coach during the second half, a lot happened last night and the Celtics played team ball.  Rondo and Ray have not played in our two significant games.  If they can play some tonight it would be a big help to have them come off the bench, their injuries would not keep them out of a playoff game and tonight in Boston we have the makings of a playoff game, Pietrus looks like a keeper if possible for the next three years, they guy has guts.
