I know he's not the big name some want for sure.

 

but he is a big who plays defense and rebounds.

 

final year of his deal and Milwaukee doesn't seem to play him much now.

 

Dalembert for Lee would be about perfact I think salary wise too.

 

of course Doc would have to play Barbosa some in that case, so who knows.

 

I would love Dalembert.  He plays D, he can board and he isn't that expensive, the Celtics wouldn't have to give up a ton for him.  

He is most practical choice

There is still a big hole up front.  The Celtics need a guy that block shot, board and get do that for 20 mintues a game, and fill in capably for KG if he gets injured. Dalembert is that guy.

in 25 minutes a game career he averages 8 boards and 2 blocks a game. The Celtics have no one of thier roster that can produce like that in those areas.  Sully can board okay but with his size can not ever be a strong interior presense on D.

Dalembert for Bass and a draft pick. But Bass doesn't go to Milwaukee, it has to be a multi-team trade.

Lee is playing well and it looks like he's worth keeping.

Snake we have talked about this for a while now.  I agree Dalembert would be a good pickup, especially if it doesn't disrupt what we have going now.  He supplies exactly what you said he does and that is exactly what we need out of that position.  He also has a decent shot.

Kirk, you just don't get it do you?   Garnett and Sully can't be the only bigs we have fighting down in the post area.  They just can't do it.  Collins gives a little help but is a 3rd stringer at best.  We need some size, period.  One little ankle sprain or foul trouble and we are downsized to small ball.  Everyone here knows how you love small ball.  Is that what you want?  I repeat Collins is the only other big we have and he won't cut it.  How many times have  you said Green can't play PF?  Well thats our next big man, because Bass isn't it either.  Are you going to complain when Doc goes small?

I think it's going to be Bass, Lee and #1 to the Jazz for Al Jefferson. Then next year Ainge tries to resign Big Al

After watching Melo last night, I think he will be a big part of the solution by seasons end! 

With that stated, Dalembert would be a great addition. Question, will the Bucks participate in a trade that makes the C's stronger?

Bass(6m) and Lee(5m) will only total 11m while Al Jefferson's salary is 15m. Salaries don't match.

Collins' trade value is only .854k. So that would be 11.854m, still not enough.

Unless you include Jeff Green, Green and Bass or Green and Lee, then Al Jefferson is out of our price range.

I don't think we can afford to trade Green at this point. He's too valuable backing up PP.

Dalembert doesn't provide the presence we need on offense/defense. We might as well bring up Melo if Dalembert is the option.

Not true.

Dalembert has some playoff experience, has always been a good rebounder and shot-blocker, and can shoot from the perimeter. 

Fab Melo is not ready for playoff action. He will make too many mistakes.

We aren't talking about Gortat.  

Dalembert is much, much better than Melo, Wilcox and Collins.  

This team is built for this year and next year. Rondo, Bradley, Green, Bass, Sully and Lee will be the core of this team next year.  KG and Paul will play a lot less minutes next year. THis team is flat out good.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I've thought that for a few years.  He actually got off the bench in Milwaukee's last game for the first time in about a month.  Wondering if we would see the Dalembert of 5 yrs ago with KG up his ass.  Milwaukee has alot of possible moving pieces-could see it happening.

I'd really like Dalembert. To compare him with Melo at this point is just silly.
