Anyone notice Burd Man contributing in a large way this off season

I'll be the first to admit i don't dig his schtick or his look, but i was outraged that we sat around all season with no help for bigs to watch him go to miami.

in 10 playoff games, in 14.2 minutes, he is averaging 7.9 pts, 3.8 rebs, 1.4 blocks on.........................

EIGHTY TWO POINT NINE PERCENT FIELD GOAL SHOOTING

i can't help thinking that this would have been nice to have around for us- might have gotten past new yawk knicks even.....  or better yet achieved higher seating in the playoffs and got home court advantage in a 4/5 series?  i know, crazy talk!

I agree with you but on the other hand, Birdman would have likely watched the games from the Celtic bench

His tatts would have clashed with  Celtic colors.

    Sorry... can't wash watch him.

He's moving better now. When he was available it looked like he had lost his athletism and ability to jump. Maybe DWade turned him on to some "supplements".

Danny Ainge should learn from Jimmy Johnson's Dallas Cowboys of the early 90's. Those teams may have been a bunch of cutthroats with questionable character but they won 3 Superbowls. If your goal is to put a team together to win titles place priority on what players bring to the court and not what they do off of it. If Danny Ainge would have taken that approach Boston would have had both Chris Anderson and Kenyon Martin.

Guess only Pat Riley saw past that and brought the Birdman to Miami... ditto for the Knicks and Kenyon.. but we did get Randolph to polish the end of the bench with ring side seats

Delonte would have been a great help in the PO's too back when the Cs were pointless in more ways than one.

He can actually dribble...w/o losing possession... using (look ma!!!) either hand... over the time line...  heads up, facing the basket... spreading the floor... and making plays too.

    AMAZING!

    Nutty DW but amazing.

    Wow!

You would sell your soul to the devil just to win a playoff series?

The Boston Celtics is an organization with high standards. They are not the Dallas Cowboys or the LA Lakers. There are more important things in life than basketball.

If you think Kenyon Martin or Chris Andersen would make this year's Celtics an elite team then you're nuts!

Kevin Garnett, for the first time in 6 seasons with the Celtics, failed to score 20 points or more in a playoff series. Not even a Burd Man or a K-Mart would have made a difference.

Would the Celtics have won 50 games if they signed Andersen or Kenyon?

    Ugh!

I think that they would have done a lot better than they did. If you really believed that the moral compass is much more important than winning then why do you tear down this team so much when they lose?

and people say rivers is a good coach......

it's not like we have not had reprobates on the team before- like vin baker.  birdman did his suspension time, and i'm sure they've tested him more than average since.

moreover, this guy is the youngest 34 in the league- only played 500 and some odd games- he HAS something left to give and we managed to avoid it for dirt dirt dirt cheap.  k-mart gave far less this off season for the knicks, but was still something- an intimidating force who nobody would mess with and did a few things.
