This team as it stands right now is a collection of role players and rookies. Not to mention a rookie coach. Until this team learns how to play we ball and not we ball they're looking at a long season. I see 18-64 in their future and a top 3 pick.

I think 16-66 is fair if Rondo is out the entire year and someone else sustains an injury.

We HAVE to win at least 5 games before Rondo comes back and then 20-15 with Rondo.

Put it this way, if the over/under was 25 I'd take the over. Currently its 27.5 which may be right on the mark

Vegas likes the Celtics to win a lot more games than this board does that is for certain.

This coming year is lost.  Less than 20 wins is likely.  In 2014-15, the Celtics can add a lottery pick and a top free agent with the loss of Humphreys.  Those are facts.  Other areas of upside would be packaging the Nets and Clippers picks to move up in the draft, and packaging one of the 2-guards with a draft pick or a power forward in exchange for better player at any position.  Now we'll have two or potentially four players to play with Rondo and Green.  KO is not bad but needs two years of grooming and some muscle.  Bradley is not bad but doesn't seem all-star material.  Marshon Brooks appears to have the most upside but needs the toughness that Bogans hopefully will teach him.

    Not true.

The Celts can't add a top free-agent in 2014-15 even if Humpy's contract is gone.

It's in 2015-16, when Rondo's contract expires, that the Celts can go after a top free-agent.

if GW to minny and bass for 2nd rd, we could go after for a top free agent in 2014

Oh brother, here we go again!  The C's get 30+wins this season and maybe just enough to reach the playoffs.  All depends if Rondo comes back in the new year.  Think the C's turn a few heads imo.

It's so funny when the Celts were good, Laker trolls keep hoping the Celtics will be bad.

Now that the Celts are bad, same Laker trolls are hoping the Celtics will be good enough.

I think the Celts can win 26-29 games if Rondo is able to play in December.

But if not, 23-26 wins if Rondo returns in January or February.

Without Rondo for the whole season, the Celts will be lucky if they win 23 games.

Agree....not to mention DA will be looking to make trades in an effort to obtain a young player and or additional draft picks ... it will be tough for Stevens / the Cs to build chemistry this season...
