    Bass -> Denver

    Mozgov (sign and trade, restricted FA) -> Phoenix

    Courtney Lee -> Phoenix

    Marcin Gortat ->

    Maybe with other small contract type players or a C's draft pick thrown in.

    That is a deal I like.

    Re: Bass------trade fodder over the summer

    If Rondo is back then Avery moves to SG and I prefer to pay the younger Crawford 2.2m over 1 year to provide 16 mins of instant offense/decent defense off the bench then pay the older Lee 16m over 3 years to provide instant defense/decent offense off the bench in the same # of mins.

    Terry and Williams can then fight it out over who gets backup PG mins and who gets the pine.

    Between Sully, Green and Wilcox all being able to play the 4 we'll be pretty desperate to move Bass for a big who is 6'10"+, can rebound, and play some C, allowing KG to move back and play some PF at times.

    In response to Kirk6's comment:

    No one wants Bass.

    He signed a big contract and went Mark Blount on us.

    Incorrect

    There are a lot of players with worse deals remaining than 2 years 13 million who would take Bass. Blount signing for 6 years and 42 million in '04 was UGLY.

    Bass hardly had a career year in a contract year when he scored 1.3 pts and 0.6 rebs more than in his previous season while being given 5 more mins. He was barely even given a raise. He did what was expected. This year his drop of 4.8 pts and 1.2 rebs while being given 5 less mins per game is concerning, but hardly Mark Blount.

    Blount was a 4.4/4.6 guy one season. A 10.2/7.6 guy in his contract year, then was a 9.4/4.8 guy with no defensive intensity the next year (Bass at least brings it, hard fouls etc.)

    Re: Bass------trade fodder over the summer

    The Nuggets are able to match any contract offer for Mozgov... they have two centers so they won't be doing so. They only have one PF. Unless they can find a better option via trade or the MLE, trading a guy who is going to walk for a moderately priced 2 years of Bass to backup Faried isn't a bad deal for them.

    Gortat HATES playing for the rebuilding Suns. On the C's he is a 32 mins 13/10, on the Suns he is a pouty 11/8 in the same mins. Mozgov would cost half of what Gortat does and deliver 5 points and 7 boards in 24 minutes. They have no real SG depth and could use a veteran like Lee at that position, they really wanted Mayo last offseason.
