We will struggle when we play 7 of 8 on the road in a few weeks.

    and if we don't?

I'll be psyched.  I am just not one for mass hysteria.

Not sure how we will do but none of those 7 away games are against great teams.

boston is 17 and 9 at home and 7 and 14 on the road. Just saying it will be interesting to see how excited people wil be if they go 2 and 5 on the trip.

a lot of people on this board are so up and down. before the season started I thought this team would win 50 games and have an okay shot. now I think they might win 42 to 45 and have no shot at all.

I would love to be wrong.

Very well could be but it could be like last year where we came on strong at the end also.  If you did not blow it up last year, why do we need to this year and right now?

we are better with rondo...it's silly to think this team is better with out rondo...this team is pulling together because of the loss of rondo..so rondo is even helping from the bench if you think about it.

    We are better without Rondo.

Rondo is a poor defender...lazy and weak.

Lazy and weak? Kirk you don't know what you are talking about.  C'mon.

    Extremely lazy.

Simple, the Celts can still get a lot for Pierce, KG, and Terry. Next season all 3 would have very little trade value.

Good point, but it has to be something that have potential for good long term foundational value.  I would understand it if it is something that resembles that.  Not Gasol, not Bledsoe.

    Snake,

The idea that people are worked up about losing a possibilty of getting Bledsoe and Butler seems absurd to me.  Neither are game changing players. Garnett still is and defines the team. If next year the Clippers comes knocking for Garnett it can always be addressed.  Pierce is more difficult but at this point  does anybody think Butler who is 33 could give us what Pierce does is nuts.

That is also a very good point.  Who would want to do Joe Johnson deal with us?  Realistically, good teams do not have much and have the willingness to give much to us to get those guys.

Saying that KG, Pierce, and Terry have very little value right now is just dumb!

45 years of watching basketball and you haven't learned anything?

KG, Pierce, and Terry are valuable to playoff teams. There are reports that teams want KG, Pierce, and Terry.

    OKC has a lottery pick.

And even if the Celtics can't get any big names for KG, Pierce, or Terry, the Celts would at least get some draft picks for them.

    Remember how we got KG?

#15 pick Al Jefferson and #18 pick Gerald Green were part of the package that got us KG.

The Celts don't need the #1 or #2 pick. Just accumulate assets.

its called a Honeymoon period. Im thrilled we are winning but what did you guys think, that we wouldnt win another game after Rondo got hurt? We are talented with or w/o Rondo, that shouldnt have ever been in question. But wen it comes to the playoffs, to consistently beating good teams? Thats where we will struggle.

I bet it just about killed you when we won today!!  HaHaHa

Kind of makes me wonder as well.

    Re: BEFORE AND AFTER

Simple Question. Are the C's more fun to watch now with ball movement, multiple players touching the ball on each possesion  or the Rondo led stand still Offense watching RR dribble til there is 5 secs on the shot clock ? Whether or not this team will continue to be better w/o RR will remain to be seen, but one thing no one can argue is they are a hell of alot more fun to watch on BOTH ends of the floor. IF RR is watching and learning and can come back as a better TEAMMATE next season fine.....

P.S. for those who think Terry , Lee and Barbosa's " improvement " has nothing to do with Rondo's absensce has never played ball. Even the greatest shooter will go ice cold if they are forced to STAND AROUND waitng for the PG to do SOMETHING with the ball other than dribble. The fact that most defenders fell off RR outside of 15 feet because of his shaky at best jumper, clogged the lanes taking away drives to the hoop even more frustating Shooters like Terry and Lee. The easiest way to get shooters going are easy baskets and those opportunities werent there with the way Rondo was leading this offense....... THEY ARE PLAYING BETTER TEAiM BALL PERIOD!!!!!!
