I check out about 10 Red Claws games a year as I live close by.  It should be interesting to see how he looks against NBDL competition as he has looked lost this year in the big league.

What does that mean? He is paid $1.4m. Will he be paid at a D-leaguer salary?

No he still gets the same money.  The Red Claws are an affiliate of the Celtics and the Celtics can send down any guy with 2 years or less experience. It basically just gets the young guys playing time and experience.  If you aren't on the roster of an NBA team you can play with any amount of NBA experience (for example Antoine Walker in the D league now).

It basically just gets a young guy playing time and a chance to learn.  Last year both Bill Walker and JR Giddens played in Maine for a bit.

Its about time. AB doesnt belong in the NBA yet.

Maybe theyre making room for another player

Good for AB he needs some time on the court. West must be closer to being ready

He is still on the roster.  They can't get another player without cutting someone and eating their salary.
