Many of us would like to see Posey return to the Celtics.

Posey is saying he does not want to be bought out by the Pacers, but I can see that happening. Danny better swoop in and get him. Posey is what we need, a 6'8' forward who can shoot the three, play defense, and most importantly be backup for Pierce.

Guess what fellas-this isn't Posey's home.  And you wanna know something else-he's not that good.  New Orleans has been trying to get rid of that contract for a year.  He bounced around the league before we had him and he will bounce around some more to finish out his ordinary career.  You should bring up his stats since he left.  He was a nice role player during our championship run-but when you have that much talent it doesn't take much to fill out the bench.  Oh yeah and he has 2 yrs remaining on that God awful contract.

I dont know why folks want him back.  Did anyone watch these last two years in NOLA? Yes he is 6'8", but he is not the same Posey from the championship season.

    Re: Bring home Posey!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes fans foolishly fall in love with a player. This is the case with Posey. On over the hill stiff who is grossly overpaid. Take a pass on him. He stunk in NO. He'll stink here. We need younger players now, not re-treads like Posey.

    Re: Bring home Posey!!!!!!!!!!

I'll say it again, Posey was on a poor team, he's not going to stand out on a poor team. He gives good teams intangibles but on poor teams intangibles most of the time are lacking anyway. He'll hit a big shot, get a loose ball, draw a charge, get a steal, play D on the best player. If he gets you 8 points they are probably going to be daggers.

    Re: Bring home Posey!!!!!!!!!!

    He'd be a good pickup becuase he's 6'8"

    We need 6'8"

Even if Posey has fallen off since '08, he's bigger than Von Wafer and he has the cajones to come through in the clutch.  Any defense he gives you is something to help ease the loss of Tony Allen.

And did I mention that he's 6'8"?  That's important too, especially when the East may go through Miami's home court.
