I don't think the Cavs would give us a 2014 1st round pick.
they are not that far to earn a playoff spot. maybe we may include clips 2015

I'd take Zeller if the pick was off the board for another young big and the cap space savings we'd get now giving us room to make another trade.

Unfortunately, you're not the GM of the Celtics.

    So stop dreaming about Zeller!
Thats a stupid thing to say...

Mployee, I'm with you. I like Zeller. I dont understand why he doesn't get more minutes.

Maybe at the trade deadline, but since there is a deadline on what to do with Bynum, I don't think the Cavs will risk trading their 2014 1st rounder.

The Cavs will have to make a decision on or before Jan. 7.

There's not enough time to determine if the Cavs are a playoff team or not.

Even if the Cavs just end up waiving Bynum, they save 6m for this season.

So it's really not a total loss if they just end up waiving Bynum.
I thought you understood how this work?

The Cavs can protect the pick so that if the trade helps them become a playoff team, then they sacrifice the pick. If it doesn't and they sink into the lottery, they get to keep the pick this year...

    Pick protection mitigates that "risk"
