Yeah the spelling is almost the same and besides ... $6M isn't that much so save the MLE and trade Bass for Pekovic or use the MLE for Mozgov ($<4M QO) ....

You really think the Wolves are that stupid to want to trade Pekovic for Bass?

    HAHAHA

Who said they want to ... they may have to if that QO gets blown out of the water by another team.

Re: Celtics, Hawks, Mavs 3-way deal

I really don't understand why there was interest in trading Pierce and KG at the trade deadline. There is no way the Celtics end up with a  team that can go as far as this team can go, unless you are willing to play the what if game for years.

Josh Smith, and Jordan are not Pierce and KG, and they will never be close.

It is like asking to have Antwain Walker back. Why do that?

Danny had to take a walk in Red's shoes to learn an important lesson. The student can not learn until he is ready. Trading Bird and Kevin after they were hurt or on the down side of their respective careers would not have yielded great players in return. Rebuilding may have taken even longer without lottery picks because it is almost impossible to get the same or anthing close to that value in return under those circumstances. He had to try, but I think he now knows why Red did what he did.

In addition, the rebuilding process, after they retired, had very little to do with keeping them too long.  Lewis, Bias, some bad choices for players, and for coaches delayed the process far too long.

Enjoy the ride. This team is worth the support.

Sure, but you really think the best offer for Pekovic is Brandon Bass?

Are you saying other teams are not interested in Pek or other teams can't match a Brandon Bass offer?

Seriously, you would rather look like an idiot than cutting your losses. I mean you went from Petrovic to signing Pek with the MLE, which is not possible, to trading Pek for Brandon Bass.

A restricted FA like Pekovic would sign for the MLE?

    Oh, wait!

You realized it was a bad idea so give the MLE to Mozgov?

    HAHAHA

No, I think we have plenty of assets that can be offered for Pek besides or along with Bass ... all depends upon what number Minny can't or won't match by another team and whether the C's are willing to match that number and make a deal with Minny on a S&T ... anything can happen so don't say it's crazy after all the silly trades that have gone down the last few years. There are a number of talented young centers out there that while not available this year or next, will be within 5 years (Vucevic & Leonard come to mind). So if we are gonna rebuild next summer (2014) and we aren't able to get the perfect guy this summer we can settle for a transition guy until we can get a good young center with a few years experience under the belt. Or you can pray that Melo is that guy ... but I see Melo as a transition backup or more likely a 3rd stringer to help get us to some free agents in 2017 if he's not traded first ... Ugh
