Moser's best chances of making it in the NBA revolve around his ability to stretch the floor from the perimeter, be it at the small forward or power forward position in smaller lineups. He was more consistent this past season than he's ever been in his career...Moser demonstrated much improved shooting mechanics including both a fairly quick release and high release point, which along with his length, size, and elevation should translate well to the next level. He makes shots in ways that spot-up shooting combo-forwards are expected to at the next level..

European shooting guard Dairis Bertans has decided to play for the Boston Celtics summer league entry, according to The Baltic Course.

Bertans, 24, told SportaCentrs.com that he plans to head to Boston on June 29, about a week before the Celtics first summer game on July 5, "so that I could get some more practice in."

"The Celtics have been following along my progress in Europe," he said, "and have invited me to fight for a roster spot on their team

During 32 games in the ACB league this past season, the 6-foot-4, 187-pound Latvian averaged 10.3 points over 23.7 minutes per game, according to DraftExpress.

EUGENE -- Mike Moser, the former Oregon Duck forward and Portland native, will play in the NBA's Orlando Summer League for the Boston Celtics, he told The Oregonian on Friday.

Though he wasn't among the 60 selections in Thursday night's NBA draft, Moser drew sizable interest once the draft closed from teams looking to add the 6-foot-8, 204-pounder known for his improved outside shooting and rebounding. DraftExpress rated Moser the 56th-best prospect in this year's draft class.

"It was kind of crazy, to be honest," Moser said, adding he chose Boston because it's "just the best opportunity to play."

Moser is also getting interest from other teams to play in the NBA's other Summer League, in Las Vegas, from July 11-21, but no deals have been finalized. Moser leaves Monday for Orlando, which hosts its league from July 5-11.

"We'll get after it," said Moser, the Grant High School alumnus who also played at UCLA and UNLV in college. "I'll probably end up playing with a different team in Vegas. We're looking at teams and seeing where the best opportunity is.

I don't think Olynyk needs the summer league.  I'd rather just have him use the time reshaping his body.

Smart, Young, Moser, Coursey, and Iverson will be a very entertaining group.  Looking forward to watching the Latvian, too.  Wonder if Rondo will bother to make another cameo?

I think you are right - all the other teams the Cs play did not get much in the draft!

It will be interesting to see if Iverson improved his game.

You will see that Iverson will play far better than Faux Hawk.

BTW, why isn't Faux Hawk on the squad...he surely has things to prove...maybe his recovery is behind schedule? Maybe he's getting ready to quit the NBA and go back to Europe?
