I like Gay but that is a lot of salary for a guy that isn't going to start.

Unless the celtics want to flip Pierce for him.

    Ha.

That makes a bad rebounding team even worse.

Hmm, I proposed this last week and no one wanted to do it. If they do it for Jared Dudley they are stupid.

Green and a 2nd could get it done.

I don't want them to trade pierce for Gay,  but I wouldn't be at all upset if they did.  The trade actually makes sense for both teams. The Griz could get a killer go to scorer for a all in shot at the title this year.  If it works, resign Pierce.  If not,  let him go and save money. pierce isn't too bad off he gets a shot at a titleand maybe a chance to play for his home team.

For the c's, they get a young stud to build around for years.  Additionally,  he can play LeBron straight up and do well offensively and defensively for an entire game.

would be ok with that, but it would be better to use other pieces to do it

do we really need another gruff personality to match rondo's?  at mega bucks paycheck?  i really don't think so.  this team needs to get big, not medium sized.  mozgov or another ham and egger big who can clunk around and get rebounds and give KG a break from doing all the hard work should be our primary focus.

Your trade proposal is completely unrealistic.

Do you think Houston needs another PF, one that is undersized and owed another $17m?

A team is not going to accept just a draft pick to take on Bass.

Then instead of Bass, replace him with Lee.

Like I said, Tommy, this is a legit report. If the Celts are involved in the trade talks then it's doable. Why would the Celts be interested if it's not doable, right?

    Let Ainge do his job.

Fierce you are right... There are lots of different combinations that can get it done.  The trick is finding a team under the cap that wants to take bass,  Terry,  or Lee without necessarily giving back matching contracts

The Celtics can offer Jeff Green, Bass, and draft picks for Gay.

    Only Green goes to Memphis.

    Another team takes Bass.

Right now the Suns are offering Jared Dudley. Come on, Jeff Green is better than Jared Dudley.

I'd rather keep Bass and Green. They fit, they can play there are two of them. plus draft picks???Bad trade!
