Not to take that personally but that is what I think is really odd about this board.

Randolph is 29 and has had not success in the NBA. If he becomes a "mediocre" NBA player he would be thrilled.

I thought he might struggle.  It does not mean he can't play well again.

I am sure he will play well again, and I am sure he will not play well again.

That's what I meant by him being a servicable big.

Forget that what has happened to Bradley?

Well that can be said of most of the Cs ... AB, Bass, Crawford, Lee etc... which is why they go nowhere in the playoffs...

    No argument from me there.

All I was trying to point out was that some people on here got a tad over excited about Randoplh.

He is still a very good signing and it is good he is on the team.

If Garnett is healthy I still think we can beat the Knicks in the playoffs.

    Unlikely.

The Knicks are just better overall.

    Rebounding - Knicks

    Scoring - Knicks

    3pt Shooting - Knicks

    Defense - Celtics

Celts won't be able to beat the Knicks 4 games in a 7-game series on defense alone.

    Poise- Celtics

I agree his definitely not the answer and Ainge should have done better at the deadline...but I do like his effort and energy ....something the Cs definitely lack...

It's not like the Knicks are not a veteran team. They also have great veteran leadership with Kidd and Chandler.

They look better than other years.  You may be right.  I like our chances if Pierce, Green and Garnett are healthy.

Frustrating watching Bass.  He couldn't take Felton at around 6'0" 5 feet away from the basket.

What a difference a coach makes.

The Celts owned the Knicks when D'Antoni was coach.

Having Raymond Felton makes a bigger difference.

With CHandler out it is not the frontcourt causing the biggest troubles. Our entire backcourt is awfull and cannot buy a bucket to save their lives. Only Green and PP have some confidence and accuracy. That is not enough...

    Bingo!

Bass wasn't able to exploit Shane Battier in the low post in last year's east finals.

I thought someone tried to claim Doc TOLD Bass not to post up!   Lol.
