    Celtics waive Joseph and Varnado

A move is probably about to be made. I would've iked to see Joseph get some run...but oh well.

If they are waiving Joseph it means a trade must be coming down.  I don't see any other reason for it.

Tough one for Joseph.  Lets hope it's a big.  With Joseph gone, I can't see them trading Green because he's Pauls only true backup.

The C's did not want to guarantee their deals:

Both Joseph and Varnado were working on non-guaranteed deals, and the Celtics had until Monday at 5 p.m. to guarantee their contracts. In electing to go in a different direction, Boston opens up two roster spots, which it likely will look to fill as other teams waive players.

There's an unsourced rumor of a trade between Lakers, celtics, and kings being close.

    http://forums.prosportsdaily.com/showthread.php?p=24982917

Trade actually makes sense for all teams involved.  If true, I wish the c's could manage to get Evans too. And/Or,  find a way to keep Bradley

Highly unlikely that Joseph will not be picked up by another team.

    Breaking down that trade:

    Celtics get Cousins and Garcia.

Lakers get Marcus Thornton, Chuck Hayes, Thomas Robinson, and Aaron Brooks.

Kings get Pau Gasol, Avery Bradley, Jason Terry, Sully, and 2 1st round picks.

That trade proposal works, by the way.

i would never make that trade...

Why cut KJ? Giving up three and getting back 2!

Lakers don't have a bench.... With this trade they would have a quality bench and potentially save money in the next few years.  They would probably move their bench power forward to the starting lineup.  I can't think of his name

That trade proposal has no legit source.

But that's a good trade for the Celtics.

[/QUOTE] A great trade for the Celtics! I didn't put much faith in it when there was no source.
