I agree and always post that I would be very upset if he was ever traded. Congratulations Paul on achieving such a great milestone. -

Would love to see him get a 2nd Finals MVP.
PP's durability is serving him just as much as those thousand and one moves he's got.
The kid from LA is a Celtic Immortal with gas to spare left in the tank -

Congrats indeed to Paul Pierce. He has played on some real bad Celtic teams and kept going. Put pressure on management to put together a good team to win. Hats off to you 34. Only have to get past the guy on the left now. -

If Pierce can play another 3-4 seasons for the Celtics, he might pass Havilcek for the No. 1 spot. I wonder if that will be a motivating factor for him. Retiring as the all-time leader in Celtics history in points scored would mean a lot for his legacy, especially if he only ends up with the one championship. -

One of the greatest pure scorers to ever play the game. The last few years he seems to be getting better...always played with a chip on his shoulder for not getting drafted earlier...He has matriculated into Einstein level of Basketball IQ...passing Larry is bitter sweet, but like Larry Paul was a pure student of the game...Kudos to Paul... -

Funny thing is you switch Paul or Ray with KOME during their peak years and it would be Paul or Ray with the championships and KOME would have just been somewhere firing away. -

That is a funny one.
Substitute Ray or Pierce for kobe and they have the championships. LOL
MVP Voting:
Kobe: 9 times in top of voting (this will be 10)
Pierce: 0 times in top 5 of voting (1 top 10)
Allen: 1 time in top 10 of voting (1 other top 20)
Kobe is a top 10 player of all-time -

Yea we saw how good KOME was when Shaq left town. How soon we forget. Couldn't even make the playoffs. Hmmm. Finally get another good Center\PF with Pau and Andrew and Kome is great again. Ha Ha.
Recent KOME game:
Lakers lose 95-90 to Philly.. They shot 6-22 in the 4th quarter. Kobe was 1-10. He took 45% of the team's fga in the 4th quarter and shot them out of the game, 10-26 out of a team total 81. That's 32% of the Lakers' fga taken by Kobe. All this with the inside advantage the Fakers had. (Of course they probably showed that one made shot in the 4th quarter on ESPN and said something to the effect of KOME kept the Fakers in the game) What a laugher.

You can laugh about one game.
I'm sure you didn't post about Kobe when he was scoring 40 pts in a row.
One game is one game.
It's all about the big picture.
Kobe has more rings then everyone on the Celtics combined.
Jordan never won anything until he got Pippen.
Bill Russell needed how many future HOF's to win? -

When did he score 40 points in a row? On what day did koME score 40 points in row?? So, the other players on his team went scoreless, while he scored 40 points, in a game, in a row??? Now THAT is funny!!
Bill Russell didn't need ANY HOF's to win. See, the Celtics were already a playoff team that ADDED Bill Russell to it, and he was the missing ingredient. Kind of like Gasol in 2008, but on a much, much, bigger scale, because, of course, Russell is "an all-time great." -

Of course Boston was a playoff team before Russell was drafted.
There was only 8 teams in the league.
It was kind of like the NHL in the 70's and 80's when 16 of the 21 teams made the playoffs...
Russell was an all-time great defensive player.
An all-time great teammate. -

Who didn't need to score. He averaged 15.1 PPG for his career. He COULD have averaged more if that's what it took to win. The Celtics had Sam Jones, Havlicek, Satch and Tommy Gun..............he didn't need to score.
And, still waiting for the actual date koME scored 40 points in a row!! -
