Run- It's not about Ainge vs obama.

Republicans and Democrats should work on the 16 trillion debt imposed to our children and grandchildren. No country can survive or sustain that much debt. You might be celebrating now but think of the bite that will shutdown the opportunities and fairness to your children.

Something has to be done. You are celebrating for nothing. Nothing change.....are there?

Please don't try your hand at politics in this forum, you struggle enough writing something coherent about sports.

Run, thanks for adding more of your useless input. Seriously you are obsessed with demographics.

Did your Minnesota jersey arrive yet?

I am so happy the elections are over.   I am a bit burned out campaigning for my choice mosty via emails. I have requested from my distribution list no more political emails either from Obama followers gloating or Romney followers lamenting.  The politcal process that so many of our Veterans have given their lives to preserve has selected a winner. Whether I agree or disagree with the choice, we are all Americans.   This for those not happy with the outcome is not like a Red Sox, Celtics, Pats loss etc.  It is something we need live with for 4 more years, at least.   Hopefully , we do not continue down the socialistic path where Government feels that by printing more money and increasing the deficit we can reduce unemployment & improve the economy.  Hopefully, too the administration realizes this path can lead to the economic mess now in Western Europe.  I will be happy if some tax incentives perhaps are giving to businesses to expand, thrive & increase employment.  Tax revenues should increase both from the increased profits from the businesses and the increase in people working.  In short, less involvement by government so that Free Market Capitalism is the best path to prosperity as per Larry Kudlow's  belief comes to fruition.

You must be a walking, talking corporation because a thoughtful electorate just nullified your worldview as being as empty as that chair that Clint was mumbling to. Free market capitalism needs ethics imposed on it because we seen its abusives on full display these past 30 years. What we really need is a viable 3rd party that occupies a true center between both current parties. There shouldn't be just an either/or choice. There should be a 3rd option in much the same way that we have checks and balances in our political system. Even if its simply the most popular of the remaining parties. Voting for the lesser of 2 evils should not be the go to move for a majority of our electorate. We the people deserve better.

RE: "a thoughtful electorate"---this country is polarized and it is shameful as we are all Americans. The election was not a slam dunk thrashing---it was almost 50-50 on the popular vote. Many Obama followers even admitted they felt Romney/Ryan were better suited to rectify the economy. I was not in love with either party & it is sad we can not have a 3rd party that can compete. I agree with you, we the people deserve better.

I am so burned out on the election that reading about why Romney lost etc. is of no interest.  In short, a guesstimate probably, I do not have the stats, 90% of the blacks, 75% of the Latins, 100% of the Gays( re: same sex marriage), 50% of the women wanting free Abortions and the fact that many of those on welfare enjoy the entitlements & wish to continue to do so are many people with an IQs of 80-90% so they and one with an IQ of 120+ still have their vote counted as one !!! This was just too much to overcome. And when Virginia was so close & not Romney' s about 5-6pm our time, I was really worried. Wash DC with about 50% black but with so many politicians living there voted I think 95% to 5% & the problem with Virginia, I know as I used to go on liberty from Quantico to the north to the border with DC & numerous high rises with politicians & their secretaries lived here & Virginia was like the rest of the country, area wise probably 75% Red but the 25% Blue was heavily populated( these figures are off the top of my head). These people are not going to vote for smaller government. There really is no need for me to vote conservatively in California except for propositions as the last time a conservative won the state was 1988 and it was George Bush Sr.

I was not in love with Romney as I never thought he was the 2nd coming of Ronald Reagan but felt he is  a nice God fearing family man who had traditional values. Illegal aliens drawing too much welfare money from taxpayers & commiting majority of crimes, same sex marriages, ugh !!!, and women having abortions as he believed in Pro-Life as the Catholic Church but he did feel a girl raped could get an abortion.  He had to reach out to get the young vote, the Latins & Blacks because their pro-creation rates are increasing and the former continue to come across our borders. I agree with Romney on all these social issues but this old guy is not running for office !!!

What I really felt was Romney's  business achievements could better help us reduce employment & better the economy providing increased revenues so that the tax revenues to the government would increase & the deficit would decrease.

If Obama is smart...I  dunno ??? But maybe his advisors can advise.  On a bi-partisan path, reach out to both Romney & Ryan & humbly perhaps tell them that he respects their business acumen & put them in charge of a committee solely based on improving the economy.

But, hopefully the Bengahzi issue is resurrected but I suspect Obama & cronies can keep a lid on it as the media will drop it and Fox just does not have enough clout.  I'd love to learn that blatant lies & dereliction of responsibles caused no military action on their parts so that this guy whom many feels walks on water can be impeached !!!

    I agree with this:

Having seen the popular votes are almost 50-50 - that means this country is so divided. Somebody has to fix our division to solve the problem. After all, this country live and die in compromises. It can be done....if not, it's us and the children will suffer dearly.

GO IN THE MIDDLE FOR GOD SAKES --- COMPROMISE!

Ummm... I am pretty sure that the Red States still make off better. If Texas were it's own country, it would have the 6th largest economy in the world. Here in California, we are bankrupt. Have a very blessed day!

    [/QUOTE]

Fellow Californian...you mentioned Texas...some more levity...

    THIS IS A HOOT !!!

    Texas should secede.

Please note that Texas is the only state with a legal right to secede from the Union . (Reference the Texas-American Annexation Treaty of
    1848.)

We Texans love yall, but we will probably have to take action since B. Hussein Obama won the election. We wi¬ôll miss you too.

    Here is what can happen:

#1: Barack Hussein Obama becomes President of the United States ,
Texas immediately secedes from the Union .

#2: George W. Bush will become the President of the Republic of Texas .

So what does Texas have to do to survive as a Republic?

    1. NASA is just south of Houston , Texas . We will control the space industry.

    2. We refine over 85% of the gasoline in the United States .

    3. Defense Industry we have over 65% of it. The term Do not mess
with Texas will take on a whole new meaning.

    4. Oil - we can supply all the oil that the Republic of Texas will
need for the next 300 years. Yankee states? Sorry about that.

    5. Natural Gas - again we have all we need and it is too bad about
those Northern States. John Kerry will have to figure out a way to
    keep them warm.

    6. Computer Industry - we currently lead the nation in producing
computer chips and communications as small companies like Texas
Instruments, Dell Computer, EDS, Raytheon, National Semiconductor,
Motorola, Intel, AMD, Atmel, Applied Materials, Ball Miconductor,
Dallas Semiconductor, Delphi , Nortel, Alcatel, etc, etc. The list
    goes on and on.

    7. Medical Care - We have the largest research centers for cancer
research, the best burn centers and the top trauma units in the world,
as well as other large health centers. Dallas has some of the best
hospitals in the United States .

    8. We have enough colleges to keep us going: University of Texas ,
Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Rice, SMU, University of Houston , Baylor, UNT
( University of North Texas ), Texas Women's University, etc. Ivy
grows better in the South anyway.

    9. We have a ready supply of workers. We could just open the border
    when we need some more.

    10. We have essential control of the paper industry, plastics, insurance, etc.

    11. In case of a foreign invasion, we have the Texas National Guard
and the Texas Air National Guard. We do not have an Army, but since
everybody down here has at least six rifles and a pile of ammo, we can
raise an Army in 24 hours if we need one. If the situation really
gets bad, we can always call the Department of Public Safety and ask
them to send over Chuck Norris and a couple of Texas Rangers.

    12. We are totally self-sufficient in beef, poultry, hogs, and several
types of grain, fruit and vegetables, and let us not forget seafood
from the Gulf. Also, everybody down here knows how to cook them so
that they taste good. Do not need any food.

This just names a few of the items that will keep the Republic of
Texas in good shape. There is not a thing out there that we need and
    do not  have.

Now to the rest of the United States under President Obama:

Since you will not have the refineries to get gas for your cars, only
President Obama will be able to drive around in his big 9 mpg SUV.
The rest of the United States will have to walk or ride bikes.

You will not have any TV as the Space Center in Houston will cut off
    satellite communications.

You will not have any natural gas to heat your homes, but since Mr.  Gore has predicted global warming, you will not need the gas as long as you survive the 2000 years it will take to get enough heat from Global Warming.

    Signed, The People of Texas

P.S. This is not a threatening letter - just a note to give you
    something to think about !

SLEEP WELL TONIGHT THE EYES OF TEXAS ARE UPON YOU !!!

    One Nation Under God
