I'm convinced Danny Ainge is going to hold on to Rondo until it is too late.

I would only take that deal if we were flipping Randle to a third team for a different prospect. Like Randle to 76ers for Noel or to the Nets for Mason Plumlee. Randle is not a major upgrade to the other 4 PFs we already have, and Im not convinced he ever will be. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Sully just ate him up when matched up because Sully is so much smarter than Randle, and just as strong.

Why would we want to help the Lakers, of all people?

We would be helping ourselves by sending a sleeper agent who can't make a crucial foul shot when it matters. You asked...

Jordan Hill, Randle, their first round pick which could be a lottery pick for Rondo. Where do we sign up, that is the stupidest trade imaginable for Rondo or Bledsoe.  It cannot possibly be right.

Re: Could Lakers offer Celtics Same Deal (for Rondo)?

The first round pick is Houston's, not the Lakers, which would not be a lottery but a late round pick.  But with 3 picks, we could then potentially bundle Houston and SD late picks to move up in the draft.  A 22 and 24 pick would be worth about an 11 according to Hollinger's value analysis

But we would also save plenty of CAP space since Randle's rookie contract and Hill is still not a burden.  I believe that Danny's goal at this point is to trade Rondo for young promising players with digestible contracts.

i would do that trade.  Keep Randle and Sully and watch their respective development.  Can always use two good rebounding PF that can score.   Maybe move one of them at a later date.  I would like to see Oly put on some more muscle weight and learn how to defend and play in the paint.

Regardless of the Celtics.........PLEASE make this deal, Mitch.  This would further cement him as a cement-head of the decade.

Lin - Bledsoe - Nash - Kobe - Henry - Johnson - Swaggy P.  That's SEVEN guards.  They will be the worst team in the league if they make this trade.......

I TOLD you guys they didn't like Hill or Randle.....................hate it when I'm right!!

Why would you sign a guy for 9 mill, then trade him for a PG???????????

If we get in on this trade - the only guys I would want would be Hill, from LAL or Warren, from PHO!!

If no Bynum injury, no Gasol trade - last word!!

No matter what the draft position for the pick, that would be a good trade unlike the hard to believe nothing offer from Sacramento.
