Paul turned the ball over alot tonight, but Ray was there to pick him up!!

Nate should have played more tonight. that's two games in a row he has played great!

This team has no closer. They led Dallas by 5 points with one minute to go in the 4th and let Dallas had a 7-0 run to win the game. Tonight, they almost lost in regulation in Memphis. Rondo's terrible free throws down the strect really hurts. I would rather have a better shooting pointing guard than a better passing pointing guard down the stretch. Ask Utah or New Orleans, will they be willing to trade JW or CP3 for Rondo? Guess not.

Nate looked great tonight and had the team on their toes. The C's should have finished with Nate in the 4th quarter pushing the ball, making plays going to the basket and spreading the floor.

A very ugly win against a team that should have been put away by half time.

C's didn't take this game serious.  They won inspite of themselves.  Last year this was a L.

Celts didn't really need Ray for most of the game as the offense was fine, but when they needed Ray, he came through big.  Good Win for the Celts.

Rack up 3 more 3s for Ray, 89 more for the record.  wOot!!!!!

Of course they wouldn't.  Is it surprising that a team wouldn't be into trading a third pick (Deron) or a fourth pick (CP3) for a 21st pick (Rondo) in the first round?  Give the guy his due for where he got drafted.  He's clearly a top four PG in the league.  And it's DW, not JW for Utah.

Don't be so exaggerated. They lost to Dallas because they had no height by the end of the game. Chandler was getting his way around all the time and Baby was too short to defend Nowitzki. With Shaq playing that night I'm sure we wouldn't have lost the game.

You're making it sound as if Pierce's 28 pts, 9-13 FGs and 9-9 FT shooting didn't mean anything.

Re: Cs Struggle When Ray Struggles

I'm getting pretty sick of kyceltic's "Ray is the best" stuff at the expense of recognizing that Pierce had a big big game tonight. It's a team, they understand that, you might want to also.

As for this: "This team has no closer."  More idiocy. Both Pierce and Allen have hit big shots on many occasions.
No, we don't have Kobe Bryant, the best closer in the league. So are you going to stop watching? No, we don't have Deron or Chris Paul. Are you going to stop watching? This isn't fantasy basketball, this is your team, and they just had a very successful road trip. Shaq came up big, backing up Danny's plan to sign enough good vets that we have enough healthy to win. Rondo, meanwhile, hits a big shot in overtime but no, another trade Rondo thread.

I could understand this trollish whining more if we were losing lots of games, then at least you'd have a beef based on losses. But it seems you can't enjoy a win (or a successful) because Chris Paul is a better shooter than Rondo. Now, it is true that this team has long had a habit of letting teams back into games, and they do need to work on that...

If we keep going 3-1 on road trips this should be a very good regular season for us!

The Captain did the heavy lifting, Ray just finished them off.

From the 1st qtr. until the end of the 3rd qtr. Ray only had 2 points.

PP getting 28 pts from 13 FG attempts is great, very efficient. Not to mention he went 9-9 from the stripe.

IMO PP was the one who picked up the slack when the Celtics couldn't get anything from Ray Allen.
