it is possible, but not likely. if we can't get love, the time to blow it up is right now. trade rondo, green, bass and get as many picks as you can in this deep draft.

Danny will do whatever he perceives is best among the options presented -- and none of us knows what those options actually are/will be, or what he'll do.  I have confidence in his judgment.

Why would you have confidence in DA's judgment ? Except for bringing in Garnett (with McHale's assistance ) what has Ainge done ? Rondo should have been traded 3 years ago when he had some real value. In Rondo's 2 extended absences, the Celts performed as well as when he was playing. The team should have been blown up 3 years ago b/c Garnett no longer could protect the rim and he was in the twilight of his career. And Pierce had some value 3 years ago.  The Celts have 2 big strikes against them. 1) the Celtic brand doesn't compete with brands like Los Angeles, Miami or even Chicago. Boston simply isn't a desirable free agent destiny. 2) DA is a mediocre GM just like he was a mediocre player.

Garnett was a 5 for 1 deal.  The first of its' kind in league history.  Your post has a tone of jealousy in it.  Ainge was an ABOVE average player - everyone knows this.  And,  he's far from a mediocre GM.  Aside from Free Agents, he's drafted well and traded well.  He has no control over free agents............what is your problem?

It's also very possible that the only move Ainge will make is acquiring a 2nd round pick.

    Agreed.

After seeing that Asik got traded for a future, I think as of this time he has specific plan and isn't going make moves just because they're there. Maybe Danny feels confident that we will be able to land Embiid?

Exactly and couldn't have said it any better!  When a GM has to resort to throwing up a white towel in a playoff game to distract the opposing team shooting free throws ..... that's not to good!

Danny Ainge get my vote for a very good GM, thinks just did not break for us.  Mabey there is still hope in some way, or we are headed for the lottery again which might be the backup plan.
