    DeMarcus Cousins trade speculation

Cousins and Tyler Honeycutt to Boston for Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo and Avery Bradley.

The Celtics proved last season you can take the Miami Heat to seven games without a true center. But taking them to seven games and beating them in seven games are two different teams, and the East is a stronger conference than it was a year ago. Boston would have to part with the two players it drafted last June in the first round, and a capable young defender in Bradley who has become somewhat superfluous (when he is read to come back) because of the arrivals of Jason Terry and Courtney Lee.

    It's too much to offer.

That's an old article. Check the date, it's Dec. 22, 2012.

A lot has happened since Dec. 22, 2012.

Tonight Cousins got 31 points and 20 rebounds. That stat is telling us that we can't afford Cousins even if he's available.

There was already a thread about this , I think today.

    Re: DeMarcus Cousins trade speculation

We would have had to present a compelling deal to Sacto IMMEDIATELY after his suspension.  Maybe, Sacto would have reacted.  Now that he is back and has put together impressive games including the aforementioned 31PPG-20RPG, Sacto won't even entertain trading him.  Not even if we offered Rondo, Melo, and Bass. (which wouldn't go through anyway, just sayin)

Now we have to move down a lower level to Gortat, Love, and Bargnani...

Lets hope we don't have to settle for Gasol or Amare.  That will be result in the continued spinning of our wheels...  Instead, lets stay pat, call it a day, and plan for next year.

31 and 20, if he wants to he could average 25 and 15, and some wouldn't trade Rondo straight up for him!!  Now that's funny!!
