They came out ready to play and then...nothing, nada.
Doc seemed confused about what to to about it. He never got in their grill.
I have a sneeking suspicion this was "gifted" to him. Some of his players just did not
want to play hard. This NO team is no match for the Celts when they are on their game.
Yet, they led for most of the game and took it to us repeadedly. This one hurts because they would be going for seven in a row, and Chicago waiting in the wings.
This game just had the feeling of going through the motions..Bass was the only one that took it to them...and maybe Rondo..
They better be ready for the Bulls....am I a conspiracy loon???

This hornets team beat the spurs and beat philly big a few nights ago. They have won 6 of their last 7 games and 7 of their last 10 games.
Also, let's be honest the Celtics can be rather craptastic agaisnt weaker teams at least the last few years. .

The Cs took the same dive last night that they took during their 2-8 stretch (many of them blow out losses) before AB's heralded return 7 games ago.

The Hornets are getting better every game. It is also difficult for any team to continue on a winning streak for an extended period. You want to see your favorite team win every game, but it isn't realistic. Except for a few exceptions in the NFL, most teams in all professional sports can't win every game.

It is odd that Bradley did not play more last night. Maybe Doc wanted to go easy on his son. It is clear by Doc's comments that winning that game was not a priortiy. The Bulls will be a much tougher match up which does not make things easier Friday.

It's the NBA anybody can beat any one on a given night. These guys may be making millions of dollars but they are still human. Except for a few some times. It's a great game and a long season.

doc never does get in anyone's grill- don't ya know, that's part of being a "player's coach"??!! it means the players are set free to run loose- look at rondo- he's a product of it. more disciplined veterans like pierce and KG have done better, but are visibly tired of the ample surrounding talent coming up snake eyes all the time- these guys are too old to be the go-to's every night.
given all the talent we signed in the off season- not GREAT talent, but UNDENIABLE TALENT, we are getting next to nothing out of that talent

seriously? because of one loss after a 6 game win streak? did you expect them to go undefeated the rest of the season?

Bradley has a rib injury. Might not even play against the Bulls.

I heard, how does that leave our chances for a win on Friday?

Doesn't matter. The Celtics' season starts after Ainge makes a move.
Right now the Celtics are just a .500 team.

Why settle for Dalembert when the Celtics can get more?

Only you took a dive, Kirk. Most of us here knew the Celtics still needed another big man. But you keep on insisting that the Celtics are already very good as is.

We are very good.
We just need to stop playing Jason Terry.

You're really crazy.
Terry is responsible for the Celtics getting outrebounded 48-33?
And you said I was the one toking.

The Celtics held the Hornets to just 90 points. It was the rebounds and the inability to stop the inside players of the Hornets that killed the Celtics.
That other poster was right. Even if you've been watching basketball for 45 years, it doesn't make you a basketball genius.

We will rebound better once Ainge makes a move.
If Ray were still a Celtic, the Celts wouldn't be able to trade him because the Celts would have put a no trade clause in Ray's contract.
By Ray leaving, it started the rebuilding process for the Celtics. If Ray stayed, we would have to wait this season and next season to rebuild.
Like I said, the first step in the direction was when JO and Ray left.
