Didn't the deadline to waive Bogans pass last nightk?

I thought we had to waive Bogans by midnight, I haven't read anything about him on any transaction listing.

    No

    Pressey is 7/15th

Bogans has no date but will become fully guaranteed if not waived by 1/7/15'

If you include Bogans, the Celts will have 14 players on the roster.

That doesn't include Pressey, Johnson, and Babb.

So I don't think the Celts will be signing any free-agents.

Only moves Ainge will probably make is through trades.

What do FA's have to do with it?

Besides, rosters aren't set until October (???) so there's plenty of time to trade, use the MLE and/or BAE with any room up to the apron ($76,829,000).

Oh, I forgot ... You said we wouldn't go over the cap, huh?

Bogans will never play in a real game for the Celtics in all likelihood!

I wonder how it feels to be an NBA player and just be on a shelf for 2-3 years? It has to be depressing and demoralizing.  Even at 34, he probably has a little left in the tank. I don't believe that he, like most players, doesn't care or is only interested in the cash; pride and how his self-image over the last 20+ years count for something.  I just find it kind of sad and hope he can retire with some dignity (playing with one last team?).

his expiration date is the C's best trading chip.

my understanding is that the C's intended to have him on the team last year as a vet presence, but he chose to stay home rather than sit on the bench and mentor
