The league isn't going to suspend him, they're going to defend him. It stinks, but Wade is one of the league's golden boys.
Wade didn't try to instigate contact, but once they got locked up he clearly tried to hook RR's leg. The argument in his favor is, you cannot prove intent. I actually thought the play on Allen about ten minutes later was worse, because he instigated the contact and then tried to throw Ray to the floor. If that had been a C's player, he would've been hit with at least a technical foul if not a flagrant. Pierce got tossed from game one for far less than that.
The other day, Doc commented on the expectations for Shaq. I'm paraphrasing, but he said, "He's got 6 hard fouls to give."
Please start using them, big man. Friendship or not, Wade needs to taste some parquet. Anthony, too. He killed us on the boards last night.

i hate wishing injury upon someone, but he has made numerous attepts to injure our players. Bill Simmons is right....Take him down SHAQ.
I wish we had a guy like Jeff Foster or even (.......brad miller just for now [who i despise]) basically a thug to show him what CHIPPY really is. -

Not sure how many folks stayed up to listen to it, however ESPN radio ran a piece of the Wade/LeBron "we're clean players" interview. A young lady reporter was asking Wade if he felt there would be a perception that the play was a "dirty play". Wade refused to answer the question and in the background LeBron was recorded saying "she's a retarded child"!!!! Kobe received a great deal of flack for his insensitive comment where he did not realize that he was being recorded. We all know that Kobe is now paying the price of being recorded. However, the self-claimed King's comments making light of the mentally challenged during a post game interview, even though he did not know that the microphone would pick it up, should NOT be overlooked by the league and any fans that believe the Heat are worthy of a championship label. It's obvious that Bosh is somewhat attempting to distance himself from the other two. Particularly, with Wade's comments through the year that Bosh has to pick up his game.
A comeback win the wounded and underdog Celtics would be poetic justice for many. Particularly, the mentally challenged and the young lady simply trying to do her job as a reporter. -

To be unsportsmanlike is to act in a manner unbecoming to the image of professional basketball. It consists of acts of deceit, disrespect of officials and profanity. The penalty for such action is a technical foul. Repeated acts shall result in expulsion from the game and a minimum fine of $1000.
A flagrant foul-penalty (1) is unnecessary contact committed by a player against an opponent.
A flagrant foul-penalty (2) is unnecessary and excessive contact committed by a player against an opponent. It is an unsportsmanlike act and the offender is ejected immediately.
The offender will be subject to a fine not exceeding $35,000 and/or suspension by the Commissioner.
Game 1
Pierce sets a pick, Wade runs shoulder down into Pierce. It would have been a hard playoff foul, but Wade lowered his should (unsportsmanlike) so it should have been flagrant.
I call the offense on Rondo beyond flagrant too melicious with the hook and scissor action of his legs and then the takedown. As a previous poster state, the leg whip in football is one of the most egregious in the sport. This is basketball, which makes it even more so since there are no helmets or shoulder pads.
Suspend Wade indefinately.
Retaliate by winning.

Wade needs to get slammed. Not just cause he's playing dirty but he needs to fear going into the paint. When he goes up to the rim Shaq or Baby needs to send him down hard on his shoulder. You don't win championships without intimidating your opponent. -

Hard fouls are indeed part of the NBA. Wade, James need to play with some trepedation or you lose an edge. Boston has the guys to be physical. -

yeah, Wade definitely held on to Rondos arm and put his leg behind him and pulled him down, I watched it over and over, it was a deliberate takedown and rondo is lucky he is not hurt worse, call it a leg whip, slew foot, whatever... it was intentional and dirty!! -
