Show us that you really are plantation workers, players! "Instead of treating the players like partners, they're treating them like plantation workers." http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7210085/nba-lockout-jeffrey-kessler-says-owners-treat-players-plantation-workers

That is comical - partners?  Really?  How much have the players invested in the team?  They PLAY FOR the owners.  And some who can't wait to leave like MeBron and CarMElo are the cause of this anyway!!

The Players union ARE partners with the owners, thus the reason they must agree to a deal.  Hello.. McFLy... anybody home?

Red - there's NO GAME without the players.  Its not like a restaurant where you can just hire some more workers to replace the ones who won't work.  You can't replace Kobe, Pierce, Lebron, KG, KD, Griffith, Wade, lebron, Rose, etc.  Without them, there's no league and without the owners, there's no league.  They need each other!

    They both need to compromise!

In Response to Re: Don't Take the Deal, Players! : Compromise? Both the owners and the players are greedy, they don't understand what that means. In the end the owners won. Billy Hunter said the union will not accept anything less than 52% then walked out. Now the union is saying they would agree to a 50-50 split. So much for walking out, huh?

Owners and player reps  know what compromise is all about. And they are gradually zeroing in on the agreement, after all the posturing, b!tching and bluffing.

Both sides know where the deal is. They just need to get there saving a bit of face along the way.
