DRAFT DAY STUNNER: Celtics trade with Detroit & Phoenix In Roster Shakeup

Celtics in sign and trade with Detroit - trade Jeff Green, pick #25 , and two #1 picks in 2012 for Rodney Stuckey and #8 draft pick , Celtics draft Jan Vesely

Celtics and Suns hook up for blockbuster: Celtics trade Jermaine O'Neal , Delonte West,  Avery Bradley for Michael Pietrius (just exercised $5.3M option, cash poor Suns always in salary dump mode) and the #13 pick - draft Bismark Biyumbo......Celtics decline to pursue Big Baby in bid to gain Biyumbo's 7' 7" wingspan

Not since Celtics Drafted McHale #3 and traded for Robert Parrish have the Celtics made such a front court draft day splash !

No matter what they do, they are not going to win another title with the current four all stars, three of them 34+ years old and the young one can not shoot. Dallas won the title this year with their strong and consistent offense. They were the best 4th quarter team. They beat Cs twice in fourth quarters. This Cs team needs more offense as their defense is no longer that effective.

Danny will do his best too improve his team, all the haters will swear he's an idiot and then when they win another 50 games they will swear he's a genius! Either way the Celtics will be contenders again next year and all the proceeding years that Danny works in Boston, becuase he knows what it takes to build a winner.

I disagree. The starters, with the exception of who was left to play the 5 after Ainge left the Celtics depleted at this position, played well. How many times did we see Boston leading teams in the 4th only to lose that lead? It's not the starters fault that Doc did not use his bench. Obviously he didn't feel comfortable with the talent that he had on the bench. That is why the starters were given way too many minutes. When crunch time came, the Celtics starters were exhausted. If Boston had a good Center and a bench that Doc would give pt to, Boston would have beaten Miami and gone to the Finals. Dallas was strong and consistent on offense (defense too) because they had so much depth and Carlisle used it. Boston had depth as well but guys that should have been used were not. Other guys just didn't have enough time to pick up the Celtics schemes.

I have to agree with you.  Danny will try to make improvements this year, but really isn't going to be able to improve the team much.  If money wasn't a consideration and you didn't have a salary cap, you might see different teams winning the championship depending on how much owners were willing to spend.

I like this four team deal better
WAS gets Peitrus  (they take Kanter or Vesey)
NOH gets Andray Blatche  and our #25 (they have no first round pick!)
PHO gets Jermaine, Baby and Rondo and a pick from someone.

Boston gets 2 second round picks THIS year, Landry, Nash and Lopez!

We use our MLE on Crawford, and draft two bigs in the second round.  With our other pick we take Miritoc, who isn't available until 2015, but is said to have lottery-level talent!!

Hey, if the lakers can float out their wild trade for Gasol, I can float this!!

None of this matters since we know Doc won't play and develop  his bench sufficiently . . . the C's get older and slower . . . and Danny trades Jeff Green!? He was our future.

    Brother! Help us.
