Get this guy if at all possible. He's got all the talent in the world and is only 21 or so. KG could bring out the beast in him.

I think he makes between 3 and 4 million. Don't know how that shakes out.

He could make all our dreams come true... if...

Not sure about 3 number 1's but our number 1 and the clippers pick this year will be out of the top 15 anyway. I do it. Very high reward very low risk money.

depends if Cousins' trade demands lower the asking price

hopefully it does and the Celtics can also offer cash (which the Kings' owners desperately need)

We all know Cousins has asked for a trade. The question is, is he worth one of our 1st round picks this year and our 2013 1st round pick? In order for the deal to work we'd have to give up JO as well. JO, 2012 pick, and 2013 pick for Cousins.

Only if he promises to never, ever pull this stunt again.

And DA could say that Cousins approached him for a job and not the other way around.

That way, when it inevitably blows up, Danny could claim good samaritan intentions that went horribly awry.

No screwballs unless hes used to trade for someone else.

Just a matter of time until the time bomb explodes again.

But Im sure some are thinking in Boston, Cousins will learn to change and KG will "scare him" into being a good soldier.. Pipe dreams imo

I suppose our 2013 1st rd pick would hold more value than adding in one of the 2012 picks, so that would make more sense to Sacramento

Or we could offer BOTH '12 picks AND a 2014 1st rd pick.

Of course Jermaine does not have to be given up at all. The deal works $-wise with Bradley, Moore and Johnson, 3 players Sacramento might actually want, over JO who they certainly don't.

Next year is a very deep draft. Don't give away picks for a knucklehead!

And not one player with Cousin's talent will be around we we draft.  You don't get talent like that in the bottom half of the draft.

    Re: Draft Picks for Cousins

If he can be had for draft picks I would consider this trade and of course Bradley and JO and other expendables.   To trade any value for this malcontent you could not do it. The Adande thread seems to be suggesting other teams are lining up with significant talent.   We can't play that game.

Regarding draft choices at this point in the season some may think the Celtic's pick this season is going to be a good one due to poor performance.

Ainge is a gunslinger if it can be done we all know he can pull the trigger.

Celts and Clips picks won't be under 18 even if both teams perform lower than expectations

The only player of serious value we have Concord is Rondo, how did you think this trade speculation would 'dismantle' the team?

Rondo is not worth Cousins in a swap

and I wouldn't think we'd really get involved in anything so big as to trade the big 3 away at this point.

It would be the two picks in 2-3 young guys we have. Not enough, as the article suggests.

    Rameakap,
I agree with you.  The young guys we have are not attractive for Sacramento they have a lot of young talent on that team.  If the draft picks and any of our expendables like JON, Bradley, and Sasha can make it happen it would be worth it.  The odds of this are remote.

Jeff Green is available to trade might be something. Of course thats trading one guy with a bad heart for what some might say another with  no heart.

KG wouldn't "scare" him.  He would "teach him" which means pull the fella aside and also show him how its done teamwork and intensity wise + call him out when he's not focused.  You have to want to learn - not sure he does - but if you want to learn, KG is the best to learn from in terms of hard work in practice.

haha, well the Green trade option is one to consider... I'm sure Danny's plan is to keep the kid a part of the family right now and assume he will be back next year at around the 1 year 6m QO of this season, a chance to show he is back to being healthy and a real future talent in this league
