I guess
I mean Marc was expected to be something.
It was BS as well b/c the Bulls offered a MUCH better package... like Gordon, a 1st rd pick and Ty Thomas
San Antonio may have even had a better looking one on the table

I have a Ray Bucks jersey... haha I think they would amnesty KG and then send Ray somewhere at the trade deadline. Who would bid on KG?

The Hawks might be interested in KG.

Agree there is sense in it and you know Danny is doing what he can to get the next generation of Cs through the door. He does not control the situation however.

Bulls and Hawks are over the cap, so only the 3m MLE.

http://www.faniq.com/blog/Explaining-the-NBAs-New-Amnesty-Clause-Blog-42532
Amnesty Clause Basics
- Each team is permitted to waive 1 player and have 100% of the player’s salary removed for Cap and Tax purposes
- Once a player is waived under the Amnesty Clause, they are placed in a modified waiver process available only to teams under the Salary Cap.
- Teams with room under the cap can then submit a claim on players by bidding to pay a portion of the player’s previous salary
- Once part of a player’s salary is claimed by a new team, the old team will continue to pay the remaining amount (though it won’t count against the Cap or Tax).

Looks like the Nets can sign KG and team him up with Brook Lopez.

Bro, all your trade scenarios are a pipe dream. That trade worked out in favor of Lakers. Two championships in the NBA. Celtics fans would take that in a heart beat. If Celtics don't trade Rhondo's friend(Perkins) Celtics win another title. I know, it hurts, but that is the jist of the situation.

Pipe dream? Check out the trade machine if my trade works or not.
Rondo and Jeff Green for CP3 works because salaries match and that's what Ken Berger of CBS reported a few hours ago.
KG and Ray for Dwight and Arenas also works. No matter who the Magic would get for Dwight they're not going to win a championship. Might as well save money if you're the owner because what's the point in spending a lot of money when your team has ZERO chance of winning a championship in the next 5 years.
It's not a pipe dream, you're just refusing to see the big picture. That's the jist of the REAL situation.

Gilbert Arenas will be paid 19.27m this year, 20.8m next year, and 22.35m in 2013. Now, tell me if spending that kind of money on Arenas is a pipe dream.
Even if the Magic use the amnesty on Arenas they will still have to pay him. The amnesty only removes the salary from the salary cap, not the actual contract.

Just to see the money Arenas is getting years after his contract is staggering. What absolute stupidity from the Wizard management and passed on to the Magic. It is hard to believe.

Does KG have a no trade clause? If not, would he tell any team he's being traded to that he'll simply retire if traded from the C's? I suspect that KG will only accept certain trades and the Nets, Magic, etc. wouldn't be teams he'd go to and still play. He's filthy rich and likely would just sit out rather than play for a team he doesn't want to play for.
That just kills a lot of these trade ideas.......not to mention the wind it would take out of PP and Doc's sails. If you think Doc and the team reacted to Perk's trade, just try some of these and see what you get!

Good ideas, nice thoughts, but the season is too short this year to compelte complex NBA trades. Be happy with what we have now.
