    Epic Management Failure

Late last year and well before the trade deadlines, several of us emphasized that without a consistent scorer in the backcourt, to supplement/replace Terry and without a another big man, the Celtics would not be able to compete in the playoffs.

Not only did Danny did not make any relevant moves, he held on to Pierce and Garnett (and Rondo), when they had trade value to rebuild this team, thinking they could make another playoff run (he is obviously too emotionally attached to the players).  It was a mistake and a failure of management that may take years to correct unless we get lucky.

The Celtics will likely get swept by the Knicks in the first round. They may win one game with high energy and pride, but lets face it, management blew it.  We got the worst of both worlds.  Now we will be elimiated in the first found and stuck with old players with diminished or no trade value.

Lets hope we sign 2 all star caliber FA, hit a homerun with our draft pick, and make several good trades because that is what it will take to make this team competitive again.

don't know what they were supposed to do. No one good big was in our price range.

Monday Morning quarterback I don't think so...if KG was really loyal to us and wanted the best for us, he's waved his no trade & taken PP with him to retire in Malibu and we'd have 1/2 the Clipper team and, definitely, been more competive. And I don't think Celtic fans would  have blamed them & been too upset.

And, KG & PP, with Griffin & Paul might have won a championship.

First blame Rondo, when that proves wrong, then blame management.

those things will happen when you sign washed up KG for 11 million a year.  think about that.  KG has banked 300 million in his career not including endorsements.  if he wanted to come back to try to "win one more" and we wanted to have him, it should have been for 1 to 3 million USD, NOT 11 million.

Acie are you mad? KG is worth every penny of that 11M especially how he played in last years playoff. He did take a team friendly contract. It would be insane for him to take 1-3M? Are you mad??
