1. The best team in the east, the Heat, can be exploited at will if you have good big men.

    2. Derrick Rose will return soon. The Celts might run into them in the playoffs.

    3. It's still January, the Celts can't allow KG to burn out before the playoffs start.

    4. Rebounding is still a problem because Sully's the only one who can really rebound.

The question now is, is Gortat worth sacrificing Fab Melo?

Lee and Green don't have to be traded if the Celtics can move Bass, Melo, and a 1st round pick for Gortat.

A 3rd team would have to take Bass.

You're right about Sully.. we've seen this all season long.. just why hasnt Doc used the kid more.. same with Barbosa, big contributor thats planted on the bench..

Lets at least use our strengths....  esp in rebounding where we're so dam weak.. Sully should have been getting 20-30 min every game

I think Doc will eventually give Sully more minutes as the season progresses.

Lee's playing great D, that's why Barbosa is stuck on the bench.

Do we still want Cousins ?

As disappointing (offensively) as Lee has been this season, something tells me this kid can bring it under the right circumstances.. Hes great on the break and defensively, just cant get his jumper to fall

I am thinking Dalembert for the price. Not as good as Gortat but wont have to give up alot either

If it will only cost the Celtics Sully and draft picks then the Celts should still go after Cousins.

Bradley and Sully can't be traded at the same time.
Bradly ,Sully and  draft picks  for Cousins and Evans

    is this a good idea?

    Sully makes 1.3

    Cousins is 3.8

are we allowed to use what little cap room we have which is around 2 million

Cousins won't be traded at the present time since the team is being sold and moving to Seattle.  Probably won't happen this current season.

I don't think it is going to happen. They are playing better and Wilcox is on his way back and Sully is playing like an animal..  I don't think there are going to be any big moves at this point.

I would love Dalembert if  the celtics could get him  for Bass and Basrbosa but I don't see thart happening.

That's how it should be. Trades that do happen usually catch us by surprise.

My concern is giving up Fab Melo. Is Gortat worth giving up Melo?

Nobody knows the answer to that last question.

If Gortat has no injury history, worth giving up !

No they don't.  The one thing we do know is Gortat is better now.  We also know what Gortat will be doing for the next few year, barring a injury.  He is a known factor.  Melo is a project.  How many projects do you know of in the NBA that are actually good players?

Bass, Melo, and a draft pick is not a big move when it comes to team chemistry. The only player lost from the rotation is Bass.
No I agree.  If they could get Gortat for Bass, Melo and a pick I would do it in a second.  I just wonder how high Melo is valued around the NBA.  I don't think the Celtics even know how to value him at this point.
