I think Rondo is an amazing PG, no doubt but do PGs win championships? I dont think so. A constant of championship teams is a stellar forward... Lets trade to get that guy, thats my take and our tradeable piece is...Rondo.

The Celtics are playing well. They are deep at the guard spot and do have a a few hall of famers with a lot of pride. They are sharing the ball and playing good defense. That doesn't mean they are better without Rondo.

These C's are Paul and KG (and to some extend Terry) led, those are proven veteran leaders and HOF'ers who know who to lead and win and the 2nd tier players like Jeff, Courtney and Bradley seem more comfortable following them than Rondo.

I don't think the C's are better without Rondo but they've been freed from a distorted situation. Management will have to have some serious talks with RR on his role, team interest etc. To me it's clear Rondo is not a franchise player, you don't build around him, he's a very valuable piece but we can't have a tabula rasa with our roster just because they don't fit Rondo's style, Rondo has to adapt and if he won't or can't trade him before his deal expires.

But wait, you forgot to mention that the reason we weren't excited before was because the team was under .500 and on a 6-game losing streak. Then, RONDO went down and ONLY THEN did we do a 180-degree turn and are 7-0 since. Tell me, why do you think that is? MAGIC? And no, I don't mean Magic Johnson! Our team has benefitted from RONDO's absence...Period.
