Front office must want lottery next two years

The signing of avery bradley for 32 million as our free agent signing, points to the fact that the celts must want the lottery at least two more years.  We are shot in the foot.

Who knows what DA has planned! If Melo does not go to Houston, there is certainly the possibility of a deal with the Rockets.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

    But there are limitations.

What Celtics-Rockets deal is there to make when Asik is already gone?

    Parsons & Capella have value.

Remember, the Celts have Jeff Green starting at SF for 9m per year.

The backup SF is Wallace at 10m per year.

Parsons is looking for 10-12m per year.

Adding Parsons when Celts already have Green and Wallace at SF is SALARY CAP SUICIDE BY SF!

If DA pulls the string on a deal with Houston - I am guessing he will set the table, in the form of trading other players first!

Just like the Kevin Love trade rumors.

I mean just because the Celtics, Ainge, or the Celtic fans want to make a trade, it doesn't mean it will happen.
Agree - but - the other side of that coin could mean it will!

Its ok. At some point we will be relevant again. I always liked Brad Stevens and his ability to do alot with not much. Perhaps at some point we will become that Cinderella team that would go on to the 2nd round and have a "glorious" exit..hey, Atlanta did it this  year, why cant we??  but I dont know if Brad Stevens is convinced to build around Rondo and that must be limiting!!

Celts will not build around Rondo.
You gotta believe that initially that was the plan.. The whole Rondo thing is limiting the Celtics BIG TIME for the longest.. guy needs to go.. I bet you even BStevens wished he was out

But there's still hope of pairing Love with Rondo.

Kevin Love becomes an UFA next season.

If the Wolves don't trade Love then the Celts can outright sign Love to a contract next summer.

Rondo's contract also expires next summer.

So there's still a chance Celts keep Rondo hoping to get Love in free-agency next summer.

If G. Taylor thinks making a deal with the C's is bad - WAIT - till he experiences the pain of letting K. Love walk for nothing!

I do not think that will happen!

    Again, human nature.

Glen Taylor would lose face if he deals with the Celtics now.

The Celts had a better offer before the draft.

What's worse than losing Kevin Love for nothing?

Being called the Santa Claus of the Boston Celtics.

Can you imagine what would happen, in an NBA owner's meeting, if an owner like Mark Cuban would ask Glen Taylor, "hey Glen, did you change your name to Kris Kringle?"

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
G. Taylor got a decent return for K. Garnet - he simply did not play the hand he was awarded correctly.

I rather have a hand to play - than sit a the table with no cards!

I understand, but here's the thing, you're BCSP, not Glen Taylor.

We don't know what Glen Taylor is thinking.

The mere fact that he didn't pull the trigger on the Boston trade tells us he's not interested in dealing with the Celts.

Besides, maybe Glen Taylor prefers to sit on the table with no cards as long as he will not be called the Santa Claus of the Boston Celtics.

It's really embarrassing if the history books portrays you as the Santa Claus of the Boston Celtics.

Makes Glen Taylor look like a complete idiot.

Seriously, first it was KG, now Kevin Love?

Who will Taylor give the Celts in 2021?

    HAHAHA
Bingo - we agree!

I HIGHLY doubt any GM/Owner in this league would not make a good/fair deal in fear of dealing with childish ridicule by their peers. They run their franchise in accordance to elementary school mentality? If that's true (not), it's no wonder that team has never done anything. Flip the coach is running things over Flip the GM. Conflict of interest going on, IMO. He wants established players to win now. C's didn't have anything enticing in that area.
