G Wallace Manchurian Point Forward Project- going swimmingly well

New coach just can't get wallace to shoot the ball.

So far the new 'pass first' wallace is 2.5 dimes on 2.6 turnovers per game

Super results, just what this young team needs.

It would appear that Humphries has beeen iced on the bench for so long that he is now lost in "mark blount land"  as far as having a clue.

when we took these two rotten contracts on, it definitely behooved us to keep these two players motivated and ready to be showcased in case SOMEONE would want to take them off our hands in a trade deadline deal.

Only problem is they are both playing like dead dogs every single game.  Wallace particularly.  the 10 million dollar man who is playing below vet minimum ball.

Can't figure Wallace.  Is he pouting, he's always been better than this

This is what I feared.  Declining Wallace trade value while creating locker room dissention.  Seems like Wallace has quit playing despite giving him minutes to showcase.  Hump is benched because we have his expiring anyway.  but I wouldn't be surprised if Hump blows a fuse soon.

Was this inevitable or is Wallace being mis-managed by Brad Stevens?

Play the vets and keep them happy.  Trade deadline will get here soon enough and the youth will have their day to shine.

    Humphries is our best big.

But we are tanking, so he only plays a little.

the only plausible explanation for wallace is "too many concussions"..........  that's all i can come up with.  he was rubbish last year in brooklyn and they credited it to deron williams "not being his kind of PG", but this is ridiculous.

his skills have gone away faster than jim rice stopped being able to hit the ball.  and to me that seemed like it was instantly.  and it was really within one season that rice's skills left him.  but not due to concussions.

i don't know what to say about wallace. something has changed in him.  or maybe some thingS

Re: G Wallace Manchurian Point Forward Project- going swimmingly well

i do remember when KG openly pined about bringing wallace to boston.  it just was not possible to add another $10m in salary while kg/ray/pp sucking down 20 a piece.  it would have been possible if we didn't give away 15m x 4 yrs to pierce and then KG signes right a ala shak instead of for 11m.

and then kg and pierce go to NJ and wallace loses out on that.  wallace has never played much on a winner.  he may be just mentally shot right now / bitter that he's not in brooklyn.  but the more time goes on, this year's brooklyn team looks like the most expensive (150M...............  :-O) bust in the history of the game.

so go figure.  as much as it sucks to be shipped out of town when things stand to get good in Brooklyn, if wallace just played hustle ball, scored 10 a game and grabbed 6 or 7 glass wipes there's an even chance that some contender would want to pick him up to boost their depth and by 6th/7th man, no matter how ill advised that may seem.

but if he puts out like this he's stuck in celtics rebuilding land the rest of his useful career and not likely to be re-signed by anyone after mailing it in for 2 years

GW is absolute garbage at this point in his career.  He adds nothing to this team.  He's not a leader or scorer and has an albatros of a contract.  I would put his sorry ars of a game on the bench and tell him to shut up and take his money quietly and don't disrupt anything.  The C's need to play the kids and develop a Steven's type Celtics team.  GW is not gonig to be part of that, not now and not ever.

Wallace used to get by on Plus athleticism and hustle. Now he has average athleticism and his hustle seems forced. It will be tough to get anyone to take his contract.

Humphries on the other hand plays PF. Sully and Bass are better than he is.

    End of story.
