In response to "Re: Game Thread; Boston vs Toronto": Why? You think it caused the players to be mentally unprepaired? They clearly weren't tired. Look at how they're playing after the entire game. Where's this energy coming from? Answer: it was there all along, they just didn't bring it because they were overconfident!

We deserved to lose this game.  It doesn't matter that a bunch of D-League players panicked down the stretch to give the Celtics life.  It should have never played out like this.

This team should have been playing with this level of urgency from the start.

Disappointing loss.  Very disappointing.  They should be embarrassed with their performance tonight.

Weird stat of the night.  Pietrus 2-13 yet a +16.  Go figure.

In response to "Re: Game Thread; Boston vs Toronto":
In Response to Re: Game Thread; Boston vs Toronto : But we beat the Hawks and proved something ... UGH! We get one win and sacrifice most likely two and possibly three wins for bragging rights ... poor risk/reward strategy. Posted by Mployee8
Come on man...you win when you can. Take any win you can get. There's no guarantee that if we rest against Atlanta and lose that we then win the back to back to backs. Also, we're tring to get HCA against Atlanta. Beating them was doubly important because it's not only a win for us, but a loss for Atlanta.

Can't wait to hear who he blames in the post game interview. He's the boss so I lay this one squarely on him

    Worst of both worlds tonite
Big minutes to starters and a loss to a bottom feeder.
    This team is so unpredictable.
Only because of that do I see a win tomorrow.
But tonite stinks and hurts our chances of homecourt advantage in the first round.

OH WELL, frankly it doesnt matter whether we get the 4 or 5. we are quite able to walk into atlanta and smack them right in the GRILL!  i could care less if we finish 4 or 5 frankly. in worse case, even if we finish 6 i could care less for we can go into indiana and smak them in the grill as well. 7 or 8, then i;m concerned! this team is perfect with days off between games as it will be in the PLAYOFFFFS! got that?

He rested them early in the game and they didn't come back in with any energy. When he started taking them out, we were up by 12. The subs let momentum get away and gave Raptors confidence. Starters came back confident and lazy, taking 3 pointers even on easy fast breaks. Look at Pietrus stats. Doc gave the sub LOTS of minutes and he shoots dumb 3's and Goes 1 for 6 from 3 point land. He only took 7 shots and 6 of them were 3's!!!, Clearly he's not tired from a game 2 days ago because he was resting for that time he was out! Sorry, but no coach excuses here. Players flat out we're not motivated and played stupid until they realized they might lose and only THEN did they start to play hard and play D and go to the basket.

It's hard to believe that Bass, Steimsma and Hollins had together only 4 defensive rebounds and 0 offensive rebounds.

Too bad Danny didn't want to give up a 2nd round pick for JJ Hickson.

you 2 should do standup together.  With all the tension between the both of you, I think it could work bigtime.  Can't figure out which one of you would be the straightman.

He ha 3 points on 1 for 6 from 3 point land. Against Atlanta he only shot two 3 pointers. Why didn't he learn from the last game that he's not Ray Allen!
