OK I freaking hate it when we start dribbling and trotting up court, no lead is safe when we do this. We can't play catch for 18 seconds and go into last shot offensive mode. Doc needs to stop holding back, we need to keep pushing the pace both ways. Rondo and Sully are gone , we have to have balanced shots and movement. We won't even make the playoffs if we play 3 on 5 half court offense. We build big leads with everyone clicking and then Doc has to put the ball in KG,PP and Terry 99% of the clock every trip playing slog ball. This kills our momentum, squanders leads and leads to tough shot for all 3 because the only passes to anyone else will be bail out passes.

Funny, everyone is acting like this wouldn't happen with Rondo. How many times have we seen the very same thing happen WITH Rondo. It like they need justification for comments about Rondo going to be missed.We just got thru blowing a 27 pt lead with Rondo, in a period of minutes basically. I think we are going to start hearing this for the rest of the year. At least give us a few games to get acclimated to the new lineups. The Clippers were very lucky as well, backboard 3pt shots, JT turnover stepping over the end line that turns into a 5 pt trip. Bledsoe back to back wide open 3's. And we withstood this. chill out people.

Green average 6-7 assists 3 games in a row.
Green pull up and his a shot right in someones grill in crunch time.
Green create a open shot for someone else.
This is either Paul Pierce hating or a huge dream about Green.
BTW I like Green as well, but the post was simply put- baffling.

We got to a 19 point lead in the first half. like almost all of our last 20 games, I don't see a problem with how we started (So starting Wilcox would change nothing). The issue is how we will finish. I want to see Wilcox and others making a difference when the game gets tight and automatically slows down to half court, playoff style bruising basketball.
I agree with KY. I wouldn't mind seeing Wilcox get a lot more minutes. Starter? Doesn't really matter. Thing is he appears to produce when he gets minutes. How do you know starting Wilcox wouldn't make any difference? His defense would be better playing alongside KG IMO. Collins could give one of them their first blow. That keeps us a bigger team, more rebounds, etc. -

Pierce is the new Ray.....a fantastic catch and shoot guy who shouldn't be trying to dribble too much.
PP was here long before Ray was. I know PP isn't the best dribbler, but do you guys really expect him to not put the ball on the floor? He averages 2.5 turnovers a game. Which isn't that bad. He will not produce the assists, and scoring that he does now if he doesn't dribble. On top of that he is basically our PG now in a SF body. -

yep, and YEP. 4-0 w/o rondo says a LOT in and of itself. it tells me this team is RELIEVED to be without his services, even with all the warts and tribulations that having no pure PG brings. look at how barbosa, green, terry, bass and to some extent lee are now nightly contributors vs. the lumps of nothingness / inconsistent performers that they used to be.
but there is no doubt about it, we need some PG position help- it cannot fall upon PP to be making plays driving the lane or otherwise to such a heavy extent as it has thus far minus rondo. he just cannot do it any more.
i think all in all, you can't ask for any more in the minus rondo era than 4-0 and yeah, lots to improve upon- we need to sign a PG and at a cursory look, cut lee's minutes as he's the one bringing the least right now
- Posters act as though this is the first time we have lost a lead and not played well in the 4th quarter. Funny. They also seem to forget when talking about turnovers that Rondo was number 2 in the league in turning it over. No this isn't a knock on Rondo, just stating facts. Yes Rondo can run the offense better than anyone we have. But on the other hand Rondo has to have people hit shots most of the time or he isn't effective. I recall seeing a lot of silly turnovers by him as well, and he is the one that is suppose to protect the ball more than anyone else.
