We need a rebounder and a 3pt specialist... with PP aging he is much less of a weapon than ever.....

Pierce is really looking old............it looks like his passes are with a medicine ball...........4 turnovers and at least 3 forced shots..........he should be coming off the bench........

    [/QUOTE]

He has been looking old for the past two years....we need an upgrade on him... sorry but he doesnt bring any energy at all to this team....

I am glad to see I am not the only one who sees that PP is killing the team.  He is so deeply embedded in the offense no matter how slow he is he has to get the touches. Doc needs to take him aside and tell until he gets it going to pass to the open man.

Wish we could get someone like Ryan Anderson.... 3pt shooter and a pretty good rebounder all in one!

The problem is that Doc lives in the past too and would never take PP out of the starting lineup....

Why is Bass starting?  No points and rebounds in 14 minutes.  Green had eight points. Isn't he playing well enough where Doc should have him starting? Bass would be better off the bench.  This team is so stuck in the past it is not funny. Start Green maybe he can help take off some pressure from Pierce.

Agreed.... I also notice that Lee is not nearly as effective when he plays with Rondo... same is true of Terry... just saying.... I think Doc needs to think out of the box but I dont think he has the b a l l s

Dont expect Doc to do anything clever, unless Rondo orders him to

Seriously, I would like to see the Celtics try this starting lineup:

    C - KG

PF - Sullinger (better rebounder than Bass)

    SF - Jeff Green

    SG - Lee or Terry

    PG - Rondo

Bring Pierce off the bench...could try him as a starter at the 2 but I think him coming off the bench would be better. While he is still good, his age is showing.

I've noticed that too. I think the problem is Rondo has the ball too much. While he is an very good playmaker, he holds onto it for too long. Other guys like Lee, Terry, and Green need the ball in their hands more to be effective.

Bingo! If you noticed when Rondo was out, Terry had 11 assists scored well as did Lee....if Doc and Ainge cant figure that out or are too afraid of Rondo then I see that as a huge problem....

Yep. Seriously this and an effective big man (guy like Gortat) are the only things holding this team back. They have the potential to be VERY good, but these issues need to be addressed in order to do so.

Also Jeff Green needs more minutes per game. I believe if he is given AT LEAST 26 mpg, he will be more consistent. The guy has a lot of talent and if you are not going to start him, more minutes is a step in the right direction.

we're in the 3rd, jeff green having fairly good game (from the stats) but NINE minutes played.  meanwhile pierce not having good game, TONS of minutes played.  shouldn't this be a great game to let green go in there and grind slacker josh howard into dust down in the post?

not watching the game, just looked in at the box score and found that to be....  shocking.  green w/ 9 mins, 8 pts on 57% FG% and pierce with all the minutes and stinko shooting
