They need a big man to help Blake ,and Jordan is too young.

lol Are you for real dirty.....too old....he is our only legit big man doing everything by himself for the C's. Get real. This team is garbage without Garnett and they are barely afloat now. -

Why not Garnett for Howard, or Garnett for Marc Gasol? How about Garnett for Lopez? Yeah all these teams would gladly trade their young supers for an aged worn out Garnett.

Why would the Clippers trade their starting center for Garnett? I think he is too old for the Clippers they run to much for him to fit in -

This might be the dumbest idea of the week. Jordan is not even that good. He is an incredibly limited player with no shooting ability and provides no leadership. If you want the Celtics in the lottery this is a good idea. Without Garnett we would be the worst team in the NBA. Melo has probably more potential than Jordan. Playing alongside Garnett now that is another thing. -

By 2015 Fab Melo will be better than DeAndre Jordan.

there are some insects in the world, in fact most of them, that are more physicaly coordinated than jordan. is this really a huge leap? -

Yes, because Jordan is being paid 10m per year. If our 1.5m per year Center is better then it's a huge leap. -

I'd rather do a Jordan & Caron Butler to Boston. Pierce and Melo to the Clippers.
PP gives the Clippers punch at the SF spot and still have Odom, Turiaf and Griffin on the frontline.
Butler could backup Green
AB, Lee, Green, KG, Jordan

You're nuts!Fab Melo will be better than Jordan in 2 years.
Read the news, the Griz would trade Rudy Gay for Pierce and you're going to settle for 2 players who don't even average 10 points per game!

DeAndre Jordan will never become a good NBA player because he only shoots 43% from the FT line. That means he can only play 3 qtrs. in an NBA game.

That is just one of the many weaknesses in his game. If we had drafted him great but Melo is here and as you say he is ours. -

Memphis thought the same thing when they drafted Thabeet.
We don't know what Melo will be because he hasn't even played in an NBA game. We should hope he's somewhere between Perk and Bynum...but we don't know yet. -

This is not possible unless Garnett consents to be traded. He has a "no trade" clause in his contract. Since KG isn't playing primarily for the money, he will feel disrespected and most likely retire if the Celtics pursue trading him.

I agree about Melo who knows but Jordan is not that good. He is an extremely raw and limited player like Melo. -

No way you trade KG. He has been loyal to the team and the team will tank if he is gone. I think we make some moves to finish out this year and to bolster the team for a run next year.then we can start the rebuild at the end of next year if we don't go deep into the playoffs.

Garnet would not fit in that up temp ofense. Not to mention what would happen to his old legs...terrible idea. Id take Deandre if we exchanged him for our trash (which no one wants). But I'd agree a KG for Deandre swap gets us a good lpottery pick. We are another 6 game losing streak away from exiting the playoff picture.

A trade to LA wouldn't be disrespectful IMO, he'd be going to a contender. And with his no trade clause, he obviously would have to be on board with it in the first place. But I'd rather a package deal, maybe getting Bledsoe back as well. Fits the need to get younger, as well as filling 2 of the biggest holes on the team PG and a real C. When Melo comes up you then have 2 C who can play...why is that a bad thing. Why can they only have one of the two?
