Hard to upgrade from Rondo but...

I would take DRose,DWilliams or CP3 because of the transforming dynamics going forward.

We need a PG that can be a threat from outside now that the Big 3 are winding down.

Then why limit it to D Rose, D Will, and CP3..... every point guard in the league is a better shooter.

This board would have you believe that Rondo averages 30 assists and a bunch of guys averaged 10..  In reality Rondo did not lead the league in assists.

This board would have you believe that Rondo averages 12 steals and a bunch of guys averaging 2......

This board would have you believe that Rondo averages 17 boards per game and a bunch of guys average 4....  In reality Rondo did not lead the league in boards for a point guard.

So how hard would it be to upgrade from that?  Rondo averaged 11 ppg and the guys that averaged around 10 assists averaged above 18 ppg.

Most point guards recognize that going to the hoop, finishing, making free throws at 85% as a baseline in their job description, on BDC thos are irrelevant factors.

There is no more overrated player in the league.

And you somehow think there's a way we could wind up with Rose?  CP3?

Rondo is only overrated by the people Dudder thinks he listens to, mist of whom see him as someone who has been essential to this team.  May not be the best in the league, but in the top five, and with Delonte as backup we are fine at PG.

Dudder would have played Sam Jones, or JoJo White at point.

That is what I have been saying here before.  Nash is good too and I bet if we had any od those mentioned true all around PGs we be in the finals cause they make the scoring easier for big 3 and these PGs are scoring threat from all over the court.

WE do need a point that has the threat of a consistent outside shot, but we have the great rondo to lead us to more playoff defeats.

Its funny , while Rondo was hurt the announcers said they need to pull Rondo because the Heat were backing off him 5 feet and using his man to help out.  Newsflash they have been doing that for a while.

[QUOTE]Actually Rondo is good value and who knows, now the kid may get in the gym and do what Rose and Westbrook are doing to improve their shooting.  I still think we are missing the fire and swagger that spark-plugs like Eddie House and Nate Robinson brought to the team.  We messed around with them both frankly by trying to make them back up point guards when they are just scoring bunnies that can change the dynamics of a game.   We have the swife-army knife like D-West to handle everything else.
