My guess is that you are less a Celtic fan and more a doc fan.

Fierce - I do not see the Clips winning a championship as long as Sterling is the owner and D. Jordan is manning the middle!

Doc is trying to use some of Phil's Zen on Jordan:

Rivers has praised the Clippers' 25-year-old center during the team's training camp in San Diego. He has called Jordan the team's defensive captain and a candidate for the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year this season.

    D. Jordan is not an elite defender, and he is a liability as a free throw shooter at the end of games!

Sorry Doc this dream isnt going to come true! At least not in the near future anyway!

Part of Doc's deal with the Clips is Doc having a say in front office matters.

Doc doesn't want what Ainge did in 2011, when he traded Perk, to happen again.

Fierce - we agree the Clips will be a good team - BUT - will they be better than the Spurs, Rockets, Thunder, and or Grizzlies this seaon?

The Blazers are another team that may surprise, out West!

Another factor to consider is the health of CP3! He played 70-games last year during the regular season and 60-games the year before. How healthy are his knees?

Did the Clips keep the right PG OR will Bledsoe come back to haunt them?

I see the Clips matching or barely exceeeding last seasons win/loss totals!

Clips will probably start off strong, then fade under the burden of an over rated, media made coach.

Yup, sorry Doc but you couldnt drag KG along with you to coach the team...now youre on your own. No more 3HOFers and a fugazy 4th..... You're going back to the future to your days as a mediocre coach that cant hide behind a poor roster..

The only threat to the Clips this season, in the western conference, is the Rockets.

OKC - They were done the moment they let Harden go.

    Spurs - Too old!

Grizzlies - Not enough star power.

    Blazers - Too young.

My concern with the Clips is CP3's health and Doc's efforts to hype D. Jordan into thinking he is something he is not! NBA defensive player of the year!

We know Doc likes to ride his horses into the ground! HEAVY minutes!! The Clips do not have Bledsoe to take the point this season, when CP3 goes down.

What happens when D. Jordan does not live up to Doc's hype? A 1-way ticket to Doc's dog house?

    D. Jordan is not a great defensive player, and will be exploited at the end of games, due to poor free throw shooting, when he is on the floor!

Bottom line - the Clips have another good BUT NOT great NBA season. Somewhere between 56 and 59 wins!

    The Chris Paul Knee Issue

I've stated my reasons several times why I wouldn't do the Rajon Rondo/Chris Paul trade, but the scariest part of the trade would be if the Celtics re-signed Paul for $100 million over 5 years and he ceased being a top point guard. The reality is this is very possible. In case you're curious about Chris Paul's knee, here's a synopsis from last year via NOLA.com

Paul underwent surgery on the knee in early February. Noted orthopedist Dr. James Andrews, unable to sew the damaged piece of cartilage, cut it away instead, one of the primary reasons Paul played in just 45 games last season, and New Orleans found itself in the draft lottery instead of the playoffs.

Paul returned at the end of last season after rehabbing the knee, perhaps unwisely, which led to an offseason of further rehabilitation to get the knee as close to 100 percent as possible.

With Paul wearing a knee brace from the outset of training camp this season, speculation grew about the condition of his knee, fueling bizarre rumors about his health, whether there was any cartilage remaining in the joint, even if it would be necessary to go into the knee again perhaps once this season has ended.

Knees have two meniscus cartilages between the femur and the tibia bones, which provide a cushion so the bones do not grind together.

Because Paul’s torn meniscus could not be repaired by knitting it back together and the tear was sliced away, there’s the prospect of less cushioning cartilage between the bones, making it possible for some bone-on-bone wear and tear in the knee.

Portland’s Brandon Roy recently underwent surgery on both knees because of that issue. Microfracture surgery is sometimes an option for athletes who’ve had cartilage removal
So even if I wasn't a huge Rondo fan, this is why I don't want to make the trade. I don't want to be paying the name Chris Paul 100 million, but getting the game of Mike Bibby. Portland made this mistake. Minnesota previously made the same mistake with Wally Szczerbiak (and then Danny made it as well trading for him). The Kings made the mistake with Chris Webber (and then the Sixers trading for him). T-Mac is a shell of his former self. So is Jermaine O'Neal.

When a basketball player's knees go it's like Cinderella midnight time. Chris Paul will be playing with bone on bone knees before it's all said and done. Danny needs to get over this obsession. If you hate Rondo and want to move him, trade him to the Magic for Dwight Howard. But I'm not cool with the idea of Rondo averaging 20 and 15 on another team while getting paid $11 million a year, while we're stuck with damaged goods hogging up our cap making $20 mil a year

Re: He Said WHAT? Shut-up Doc!!!

But that is not the end where Rivers needs Jordan — the key to this Clippers season is their defense and Jordan has to anchor it. Rivers has said he plans to bring a variation of the strong-side overload that Rivers and then assistant Tom Thibodeau used to bring a ring to Boston. But to make that defense work you need a smart rim-protecting big man to anchor it.

Which means Jordan needs to be improved, and he needs to hit his free throws and stay on the court at the end of game (he shot 36 percent last year). Jordan told Arash Markazi of ESPNLosAngeles.com that is exactly what he’s doing.

Super star in the making - what ever you say Doc! At least D. Jordan finally has a nickname "The Sniffer"!

DeAndre Jordan films himself smelling a woman

    By NICK SCHWARTZ – October 1, 2013

This is how Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan spent the final few hours of his offseason: filming himself smelling a random woman.

Important questions raised by this Vine:

    1. What is DeAndre Jordan doing in Ross Dress for Less?

    2. What is DeAndre Jordan doing in the *women’s* section of Ross Dress for Less?

    3. Does DeAndre Jordan sniff people regularly?

    4. Who was the first stranger DeAndre Jordan sniffed, and why?

    5. Do DeAndre Jordan’s friends call him “The Sniffer”?

(Thanks to Bob’s Blitz for bringing this to our attention.)

Again, are these the actions of a player ready to take the next step in leadeing their team?

Does it appear that D. Jordan, a.k.a. the "sniffer" is ready to take that next step?

Doc is a used car salesman posing as a coach. We won in 07 despite him not because of him. His inabilities to make in game adjustments and substitute cost us a ring in 10. He quit being our HC around March 1st last year. He ain't winning squat in LA. Clippers will only go as fasr as their players can carry them with Doc on their shoulders. Doc has been a classless egomaniac talking smack about his former team and players.

    Didn't want KG over D Jordan B u l l s h it! He'll say anything
