Avery Bradley is still 23 years old.

    There's still room for improvement.

Besides, signing him to a 7-7.5m per year deal doesn't mean he can't be traded anymore.

    Letting him go for nothing?

    That's stupid!

    No one wants him.

I agree. I think that time may be this summer.

I really think that one of these guys are going to be packaged for a defensive minded center, At this point, I think it may be Sullinger because he has the greater value.

I think both Sully and Olynyk become Allstars. Not perenial, but at least one time Allstars.

I hope, Sully is traded with future picks for Marc Gasol

    [/QUOTE]

boy I think any Celtic fan would take that deal!

    too bad Memphis won't.

I can't see them letting Gasol go, unless he leaves as a Free agent. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they move Randolph in the off-season and bring in Pau to play with his brother.

But man.......a starting lineup of Gasol, Olynyk, Green, Bradley and Rondo sure looks like a solid playoff team in the east.

Olynyk has taken big steps forward throughout this season and he will make even more progress for at least a couple of years.

Someone mentioned that he needs to get stronger and quicker which will only assist him in making more improvements.

This kid is a keeper and should be a long time Celtic even if he never quite becomes an elite player in the league.

this kid does have some star potential...Not sure if he is Dirk2, but Ill take 85% of that type of scoring with better D, rebounding and passing.

YOU CAN't TEACH BIG! KO is 7ft-er with great touch and court vision with a great ability to pass to the open guy. He has a very good handle for his size too. He will be one of the C's next iteration of a Big-3 and key to our next TROPHY. If you dont see this, you dont understand the game. A 7ft 3/4 who has 2 skills? KO IS ONLY A SEASON OR TWO MORE FROM BEING A STAR.

Re: Heinsohn: Olynyk is going to be a star

Kelly has a very interesting skill set . He has a very diverse game and does just about everything well. I agree with some previous posters that he needs to drop a little weight and replace it with muscle as this will hopefully make hima little bit more explosive around the rim. He is a definite keeper who I feel will develope into a very solid starter. Not bad for the 13th pick in a weak draft.

+1 .. I say Pressey's a keeper... and got rebutted in this board.

I said early on that he reminds of of Derek Fishier..

Tommy is not your go-to guy when it comes to ranking players. too much of a homer.

That said Olnyk is better than I thought from his earlier games.

Someone said 15 points and 8 rebounds is his upside. That would be more than fine with me.

I would not be surprised if he gets a triple double next season...the passing is there and the rebounding is coming along nicely.

Re: Heinsohn: Olynyk is going to be a star

There are things the Olynyk will never be.  A rim protector.  A strong low post presence.  Hoping for that will be like hoping that Rondo starts shooting like Ray Allen.

But there are things that Olynyk does very well.  Anticipate and play good position defense.  The passing skills.  Shooting.  Scoring inside from motion.

Danny has a lot of work to do.  I love Rondo but I think that Danny will trade him some time.  He has to trade Rondo to get different kind of quality players.  I think that Rondo and Jeff Green will probably get traded this off season.

I think Chris 33 is right that AB will not be coveted because he is proving he is too small to be a great 2 guard.  Gary Harris or Smart or maybe TJ Warren for the C's in the draft could mean the C's retract the earlier offer to AB.

    That's stupid!

    No one wants him.

If Pressey is your team's backup point guard....or in your team's rotation, then your team is not a contending team....or even a playoff team.

Well he's not a franchise changer like Jacoby Parker, but nah seriously he's got solid skills, but needs to bulk up. He needs to hit the weights. He's got some serious game.

And my mommy tells me I'm handsome.

Olynyk needs to bury the perimeter shots with consistency. Until he does that, he's just a another mediocre player. So far, it hasn't happened.

Re: Heinsohn: Olynyk is going to be a star

    Star? NO

    Good starter: possibly

avg starter/very good role player: For sure

KO has played very well, but most likely wont be a star. I think he is a pretty polished player already so I question how much higher his ceiling is. He is not going to be become a better athlete all of a sudden. I think  what is going to make a big difference for him is if he can get bigger and stronger so he can score down low in the post. Cuz he has the post skill but he cantback guys down or go thru them. That will be the difference for him being more dirk than andre bargnani.

Dirk plays the matchup, big guys he pulls out to the perimeter and either shoots it or takes them off the dribble and small guys he takes it to the post. Right now ko is only doing the former (mostly with the jumper)

I can see him being  a 12-15 ppg 6-8 rpg, type player. Which is very good result for a guy who was drafted outside the  top 10 in a weak draft.

Exactly. He is going to be a 15 and 8 guy. Nothing wrong with that at all.

    In response to Fiercy's comment:

    Oly is a PF/C.

He doesn't need to be really fast.

What he needs is to get bigger and stronger.

No, Oly might not become the next Finals MVP Dirk, but don't be surprised if Oly becomes an All-Star in 5 or 7 years.

I don't think he will be a all star, but I agree with you that the odds of him being a all star are higher than him being a bust.

He is a very skilled offensive player. What has surprised me about him is how well he is rebounding. 9.3 boards per 36 minutes.

    totally acceptable for a big.

    He can be more.

    18 and 8 guy.

    One or two All-Star appearances.

    I wouldn't bet against it.

Kelly Olynyx Stats: 16 points 6 of 11 field goal, 9 rb 3 offensive....he is showing flashes of hope of becoming a dependable scorer in the future.....
