You're forgetting that Pierce will turn 36 in October.

Deng is still 28 years old.

If you're the Cavs you will give away the 19th pick just for 2 years of service from Pierce?

Come on, Pierce will not be averaging 18 points per game when he's 38 years old.

    OK..I'll SETTLE for that #19 pick....LOL.

    Wink

in fact for fun I will do a mock draft with some of the current trade rumours out there, If I get time

If you don't like the idea of Rondo as the player/ coach what about Pierce as the player/ coach?

Pierce would't be a happy camper in Cleveland  . My quess he would be insulted. My quess is Ainge will ok any trade with Pierce he deserves as much after all these years .  Pierce's number will soon be hanging and this carries a lot of weight as it should.  Pierce is the man in charge of his own destiny his last year.

i agree with the notion that PP should be in control of his own destiny. he's earned that much. if he's OK with a trade, fine. if he's not, that's fine too. let him play out his deal in boston.
