In response to Fierce34's comment:
Bass plays hard but he's just too small. Every time Vasquez got in the paint and Bass challenged, Bass couldn't reach the ball. It's like he was just slapping air. A Gortat or even a Josh Smith would have blocked some of those lay-ups by Vasquez.
When the 3s were not falling, the Celts couldn't go inside because they have no one who can score with his back to the basket.
The Celtics are a very small team. They will just be around .500 mark if Ainge doesn't make a change.
bass plays hard, bass plays hard. maybe so.
but look at what's changed from last year to this year. it's plain to see. he's been banished from the post. he's confused about his role. who else said that? jamell o'neal, now contributing in phoenix, also said that about his "role" with the celts when doc decided it wise to COMPLETELY ICE HIM OUT of any scrimmage "looks" on offense!! and we saw the ugly air balls and other party fouls that came from lack of practice... then there was glen davis who echoed the same type of role confusion....
let's see- who else might be confused with their role? JEFF GREEN MAYBE??? he looks like he's confused a lot out there!
i wonder if courtney lee has any idea what is role is? jason terry? leandro barbosa?
all of 'em are playing like trash.
but wait until your SECOND YEAR- that's when doc will define what your role IS NOT and it will seem to fly in the face of conventional wisdom of your 1-5 position, whatever it may be!! kind of like his fatwah to bass- get out of that paint brandon!!! and bass has never looked.... more lost. low fg%, FTA's in the basement- his entire game stinks.... any cause and effect linkage with this link?
