How Many Celtics Wins This Season? (FFF)

Number of Wins and what Place will they finish?

Last year we won 41 games.

I'm predicting 26 wins and 25th place (out of 30 teams)

    19 wins with him; 25 w/o him.

Just as last year, we are a better team w/o him.

LOL  That was harsh.  But I even think that Rondop would be more effective than Bradley, Lee, Pressey or Nolan Smith out front, unless Rondo creates bad team chemistry by trying to subbornly do things HIS way (holding the ball out front, swinging gate D, etc.) instead of complying with Stevens' system.  If thats the case, he is undoubtedly traded before the end of the season.

as he should be. but it is not the case and he will not be. you guys would have us believe rondo's out to submarine his own career and sink everything else he can along the way. that's not gonna be happening.

36 wins may not get us in the lottery?  That would not be good.

given all the new faces, a new system, a very very weak offense, and still no quality center or backup, I don't think the team would win 36 games with Chris Paul at the point.

Maybe I was being overly optimistic about the prospects of adding something useful (a ham sandwich and fixin's) for our tempermental ASPG... although high picks would be fine too.

And the effect that might have on W/L's.

We're all about to find out just how good R9R is minus high level talent surrounding him... or how much he will fetch from some goo-goo eyed GM with zhyte4brains.

looks like most at least know what appears to be coming this season.

I think 25-30 wins sounds about right.

I assume both Rondo and Sully play more games than they miss and no other MAJOR injuries.

but I also see a possible 35-40 wins if EVERYTHING falls into place  I didn't say PROBABLE.

IF KO is the player out of the gate that some think he will be

IF Sully not only comes back fully, makes the second year JUMP that many NBA players do

IF ROndo comes back fully and takes on the roll of team leader and captain

IF Green plays all year like he played in the playoffs last year

IF Stevens is as good a coach in the NBA as he was in college

but boy, thats a LOT of IF's!!!

Ya. and even if all the Ifs came to fruition, still no way they win 40.  I would say worst case is 22 and best case is 32.

Why do you think so much about Pud thinking about Rondo? Thats even more odd. You're usually better than just being here to contribute as a pure troll. You've proven you have basketball knowledge, why not share it more often. Come on man..................
Anyway, we have seen no evidence that the Celtics will play better with Rajon Rondo in over a year now. They lost two more HOFer, heart and soul guys and their "great" coach. If they keep RR and he begins season on time, they go 31-51, without RR at all this season 36-46, if RR traded at deadline then there will be a "the league needs time to figure them out" kinda ending and they finish with a flurry and are 39-43. Hey, You Rondo lovers are the ones who believe promoted this convenient excuse!

Rondo has to change his game a little. He can't hold the ball for 20 seconds and expect the offense to flow. You have decent wing guys and this team can run if they can rebound. Rebounding will be the key to this season. I think somewhere between 30 and 42 wins depending on the circumstances.

It will be under 30..easy...new coach w/no NBA experience, no interior D, no rebounding, guys who KNOW they are not wanted here because we made trades for draft choices, no Rondo for maybe the 1st half...it will be a miracle if we break 25....please spare me the discussion of our world beating fleet of sub 6-10 power forwards or non-shooting guards and a center from the euro league who has the skills of the center from the euro league...I just can't injest that much unicorn sparkle in one life time
