I couldn't agree more! Through his actions, Rondo sent a clear message to the team! Time to toughen up boys!!

I always think nba fights are so wack, they are glorified pushing matches. Its funny the tallest guys in the world with the longest reaches can never land a punch, when they actually decide to throw one.

Back in the day guys used to get slammed to the ground and it was a normal foul. Take your 2 fts. Now its so pusssyyyyy.

What were your issues with Rondo back before he went after Humphries?

If it was Reggie Evans instead of Humphries, i wonder if he would have did the same thing?

It didn't help the team, it hurt them, and will continue to hurt them through his suspension!!

Stupid move,on what wasn't even a hard foul!!

Yes, that was good.  Did you see Phil Jackson run out there after Cartwright.....barely recognized him without the white hair!

    MJ also didn't do much!!

I don't think his moved garnished any respect. It was weak and immature and will cost the Cs most likely 2 more games. Just like Doc said, that was not toughness. The Cs are soft. The foul by Humphries was not a (hard) foul worthy of Rondo's reaction. Rondo needs to let his play speak volumes on the court. Here is an idea: stay in that game and help your team comeback and win. What an embarrassing game and display. That was not toughness. The Cs are old and lack toughness.

Re: I have a lot more respect for Rondo now.....

Interesting - I'm surprised by your view. Rondo has shown for a long time now he's not intimidated by bigs on the court and defends his teammates.

I thought what he did was stupid, he could and should have been suspended for five games - he got two just throwing a ball at the ref. Other teams will now try to get Rondo to go nuts on them and get himself ejected until he shows he can keep his cool.

I thought Rondo was frustrated as he had just been stuffed by Humphries and with only three assists it looked like his streak was going to end. A real tough guy would have stayed and defended and rebounded for his team instead of getting thrown out.

In my view Rondo took a step back in his development by getting himself ejected. That said, if this fires up the team then great, as they really need more fire in the belly.

We all knew that Rondo is all about the macho man image. I would have appreciated him decking Wade in the 2nd game of the playoffs last year when Wade clearly b slapped him for what should have been called a flagrant foul,if he had decked him I would have stood up and shouted MVP!!! Immediately! Defending a fallen teammate was just another part of his assuming of the team leader role.

Why do I feel that there is a good bit of sarcasm here that is going completely undetected?

Maybe Rondo thought KG too puss to fend for himself and had to step in...

and really.. what did he do??? push a little, scratch & hiss???

What purpose did it serve.. ouch, Rondo pushed me, I learned my lesson??

Where I grew up pushing someone wasnt holding your ground and making a point.. pounding the guy until he couldnt get up was.. or u got pounded.. either way you showed you wouldnt let anyone push you around..

Getting shoved?? puch.. Rondo accomplished zippo

Disagree - it got RR 2-days rest, without the C's getting hit with a $250,000 fine!
