Someone here thinks we should trade Rondo for Gasol
    Posted by Mployee8

That's plausible. Remember, the Lakers desperately need a PG and the Celtics need another big man that can rebound and score inside the paint.

Bradley on the other hand has more fouls than points. Any GM out there stupid enough to want a bad player like that?

    Ugh!

    Somewhere ... yes!

But doubt we could replace Cousy ... err I mean Rondo.

How about we bet on Bradley being traded for a 2nd round pick?

Already told you ... Danny could have too much man-love for the guard so risk/reward in a bet is not palatable. But I'll take you up on Gasol for Rondo.

I'm not insisting on a Rondo for Gasol trade. All I'm saying is it's plausible because the Lakers need a PG and the Celts need a big.

Bradley for a 2nd round pick on the other hand is close to impossible!

Re: I Thought Moore is Already Ahead of Bradley?

Danny should trade Bradley and JON for Cousins and then use Cousins as trade material to get Howard.  Wait, Cousins couldn't be traded twice, could he?  So, Danny should move Bradley and JON (expiring contract) + picks in a three way deal that gets Howard to C's while Orlando gets Cousins and Sac gets a couple of players.

Cousins is a talented head case but maybe he and Bradley can be usefully packaged to get Howard to the C's?

Then, with the cap room at end of the season, convince Deron Williams to come and join his buddy Howard as shooting guard to replace Ray.

    PG - Rondo
SG - DWill (Ray as backup at reduced salary)
SF - Paul (Green/Pietrus as backups)
PF - Bass (Green, maybe KG as backups)
C - Howard (Steimsma as backup)

    I like it!

No way! I'm sorry but as bad an attitude as Cousins has, no way the Kings will just trade him for JO, Bradley, and picks.

And JO and Bradley's outgoing salary will just be 8m, DH will have an incoming salary of 18m.

So we ship out some additional salary - Wilcox and Sasha, for example.

Wilcox and our 2 number 1's for Cousins.  It's tough because he doesn't make a lot of money, relatively speaking.   They MAY (it's PLAUSIBLE...LOL) they want a replacement for him, and would take two picks.  I think DA should investigate.....we'd then have our replacement for KG, get Nick Young, and we will right back in the hunt next year
    Rondo/Dooling
    Young/Ray  (Moore traded)
    PP/Green
    Bass/KG
    Cousins/Steamer

    Not bad, guys!!

Im tired of reading it!!!!  The FAKERS & Celtics would/will never trade star players to help each other.  It's a fantasy for some armchair GMs on message boards.

Re: I Thought Moore is Already Ahead of Bradley?

Guys, I don't think we can trade Wilcox yet.

    83. When can a team trade a free agent it signs? Do they have to keep him forever?

Generally, a player cannot be traded until three months after signing a contract or December 15th of that season, whichever is later. This does not apply to draft picks, who can be traded 30 days after signing their contract. In addition, if the player is playing under a one-year contract and will have Larry Bird or Early Bird rights at the end of the contract, he can't be traded without his consent. If consent is granted and the player is traded, then he loses his Larry Bird or Early Bird rights, and enters free agency as a Non-Bird free agent. For example, Seattle signed Vladimir Radmanovic to a one-year qualifying offer on September 21, 2005. Therefore, Radmanovic could not be traded at all until December 21, 2005. After December 21, 2005, he could only be traded if he consented to the trade (he did consent and was traded to the Clippers). He became a Non-Bird free agent with the Clippers in the summer of 2006 (and signed instead with the Lakers).
