SnakeOil - I say a trade is coming in some shape, size, and form!
Some rival front offices view the Clippers as a "house divided" when it comes to trading or not trading backup point guard Eric Bledsoe, one official said. But the Clippers are simply weighing whether a deal for Boston's Kevin Garnett -- assuming he'd agree to waive his no-trade clause -- would be worth breaking up the best bench unit in the league.CBSSports.com
As Danny Ainge downplayed the possibility the Celtics will be involved in a transaction before tomorrows NBA trade deadline, general managers and personnel people around the league are saying quite the opposite. Theyll be stunned if the Celts dont make a deal of some sort. Theyre too active, said one. Theyve been putting a lot of different things out there, and youd have to think at least one of them is going to come through. Boston Herald

Well stated!
Id hate to see Garnett leave, but if the Celtics know something that they arent letting on to, in regards to Garnetts future (or even Pierces future for that matter, as one without the other constitutes a blow-up) then getting two young good players for a retiring Garnett is a steal, rather than letting him retire and getting nothing but cap space at the end of the year (with a shrinking salary cap and the soft cap/hard cap structure its almost useless). If the Celtics can get a commitment from both Garnett and Pierce to stick around for another season, keep the team together and make a push this year, otherwise it may be time to pull the trigger.

They go 17-12 over last 29 for a season record of 45-37...... C's make it to game 6-7 of the second round and are eliminated in a close game. They play well, but get beat in the end because of the lack of that BIG....IF no trade.

For now, the Los Angeles Clippers have terminated talks with the Boston Celtics on a Kevin Garnett for Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan trade, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The Celtics have been eager to continue the conversation on the deal, but league sources said the talks will remain dormant unless Clippers star Chris Paul pushes the issue with management.
Several prominent executives and coaches with championship contenders told Yahoo! Sports they believe the Clippers would become more dangerous with Garnett.
Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro is a proponent of the deal, too, sources said.
The Celtics won't consider moving Garnett to the Clippers for any other combination of players, and won't revisit the talks unless Bledsoe and Jordan are in the package, sources said.
Boston hasn't approached Garnett to waive his no-trade clause without an agreement in place, but there's strong belief he would ultimately agree to it. What's more, Boston could simply trade Paul Pierce and leave Garnett with even less desire to finish his career with a young, rebuilding roster.
If the Celtics trade Garnett before the deadline, they would move Pierce, too, sources said. For the Celtics, the chance to get Bledsoe and Jordan could be a prelude to trying to package Pierce in a possible deal to the Atlanta Hawks for Josh Smith, sources said.

Not optimistic that KG, PP and JT's legs will hold up over the long season. I think 39-43 which sneaks them into the post season, but pairs them with Miami. Looks like Pierce is already showing fatigue based on horrible recent shooting. Arguably the top players down the stretch will be Green and Bradley.

17 Road Games, 12 Home Games, 8 back to Back Games does look good at all no trade or not. Its all up hill thinking 5 W's and 10 L's for the road games, slightly above 500 at home maybe 8 W's out of 12 games there, depending on tonights game and I am realistic in assumig a loss on the second end of a back to back road game.
12 to 13 more wins for a 41/40 win season.
This season was done by the end of December. KG and Paul were not into it back then, Rondo, and Sully factored in a lot back then.
Reality is if they loose tonight and Danny doesn't shake the try its a negative fingure pointing down hill slide. If he does shake something loose its still down hill just a little more positive.

I think Kirk is suggesting we trade PP! Is this correct Kirk?
When the Celts were on a losing streak, he wanted Bass and Terry traded. After the Celts went on a 6-game win streak he said no trades should be made. And when the Celts went 7-0, without Rondo, he said trade Rondo.
HAHAHA
