    If Rondo is the future...

Green, Lee and Terry work well with the ball, when they control it. Rondo needs players who compliment his skill set, players who work well OFF the ball (like Ray Allen not Green, not Lee and not Terry). Green, Lee, Terry with Rondo cannot co-exist; Rondo will need a supporting cast that maximizes his skill set. We will need to commit to a Rondo strategy for our future when he returns. On a side note Fab Melo looks lost on defense and lost on offense. He should have stayed in college another year...

As we say down South... that dog won't hunt!

    Not in Beantown, it won't.

If Rondo is the future we're a chicken in a pot.

James, Durant, Bryant,... those are superstars, Rondo not so much. He isn't even the MVP of the Celtics. He won't morph into one while rehabbing from an ACL injury. He's 27, he is what he is, not a player you build around. Deep down Danny and Doc know it but they had little choice to make him our leader because nobody wanted him when DA tried to trade him. By the way, why would that be?

Best option would be trading him before he's up for a new deal (wich would be a near max contract) and try to get reasonable value in return.

Daddy doc goes with him. A package deal.

R9R won't leave w/o him. That's his security blanket... and R9R is the apple of doc's eye.

    Totally inappropriate and sicko.

Did you watch the playoffs last year or did turn off the TV when Rondo was out playing Lebron? The different between a team with Rondo and a team without Rondo is basically having a chance to go to the ECF or have a chance to maybe force a game 7, apparently you want the latter.
